Its a really good, but short game, I beat it 5 or maybe 6 times on Stadia, always thinking that it deserved to be on actual physical hardware. Imagine a cross between RE2 remake and Stranger Things to get an idea of what its like. Not too scary, but just creepy enough to keep you from getting comfortable.

An underrated gem worth playing, but the ending is too short, and the story doesn't explain much in the end. So if you're looking for a fully explained plot or log...

Pinning all your hopes on a single game is not a sign of a healthy eco system.

Even more worrisome is that it's a Bethesda game. I fell for the Fallout 4 hype and regretted it. They never fixed progress blocking glitches with it. Lame.

This is so spot on. Indeed, he's so focused on the competition, instead of being focused on his own company!

The strange secret to Nintendo's success is that they literally don't give a crap about anyone but themselves, they aren't focused on Sony, ever since the Wii era, all the way back in 2003 when it entered development. And while they've had ups and downs, Nintendo has always retained a massive legion of fans around the world. They are focused on th...

Think about it this way, Xbox Series X|S is the only gaming console in history to launch with ZERO NEW first party games. No one else have ever launched a console without at least one freakin' game to show for it! And this is after a huge lull during the Xbox One era, where people assumed (incorrectly) that they were saving their games for the next generation. Well we all know that to be a load of crap now. They simply had jack squat for years, and with no excuses.

So w...

I remember Microsoft doing the same thing back in 2005 to manipulate people into 'feeling' that digital prices were cheaper than they actually were.

$10 USD was 800 MS Points. But it 'looks like' $8 to most at first glance. So you're browsing the XBLA store, see an 800 point game, MS is counting on people to translate that as $8 USD (because that would be quite logical), so you decide to buy the game, but when you go to purchase the 800 points it ends up...

Time ran out a long time ago, stop giving them undeserved time extensions.

The original Xbox was great, it felt genuine and sincere, by people who cared about games, even though their idea of a modern controller was lacking, with that awful DUKE and the slightly less awful Type-S.

360 was pretty cool early on, the BLADES OS was nice, it had a ton of games, and Sony was somewhat caught with their pants down, and MS took advantage. Competition is good, and...

Play it online multi-player to make it slightly more fun, but only the host makes progress? Pathetic and inexcusable game design. This should never happen in any year, let alone in the year 2023 or beyond.

They tried to give Microsoft credit for Psychonauts 2 as well. 🤣

Pathetic. 😂

Microsoft has 'infinite money', but can't afford to properly polish their own games. This is self-sabotage, and I don't understand why.

No actually I do understand. The executives at Xbox are not gamers, and don't care about gaming.

I remember E3 2017 when Nintendo only showed off a logo for the trailer. I knew this game was just entering development, but diehard fans were in denial saying, "Just because they only showed the logo that doesn't mean it's all they've made for the game."

Heh, how wrong they were.

Not even the Holiday season and they're rushing out games unfinished, and they can't even use Black Friday or Christmas as an excuse. Pathetic.

This is part of the reason why I've been focusing most of my gaming time with previous generations. Tired of this crap, and tried of the eventual fake apologizes when some marketing douchebag claims they had no idea their game was released in such a bad state.

Play the Ace Attorney series, you don't commit murder, instead you figure out how to solve murders mysteries.
I also enjoy the Professor Layton series, and the quirky puzzles on offer.
He's focusing too much on mainstream junk, and ignoring all the less popular, but still awesome non-murder-simulator games.

Your autocorrect is quite curious. May want to edit that second-to-last-word. 🤣

100% my thoughts on the state of gaming these days. Many games are designed around "player retention" in order to keep shoving the micro-trash-action store in your face.

A shameful blight on this industry. I barely buy modern games these days, I'm sick of the Ubisoft-effect inflicting our industry.

"You Can't Play Today"

Really? So my old consoles and old disc copies and cartridges won't work anymore? The correct title would be "Licensed Games You Can't BUY Anymore Today" because all those games are still easily playable if you put in a tiny bit of effort. Certainly less effort than a throwaway nostalgia-filled article.

Piracy, including emulation, flashcarts, optical drive emulators, and softmodding, is the only true...

Microsoft can't make up their minds on their own UI. Feels like they change it up every 3 years or so. How many times has it changed since 2005? 360 had at least 3 different UIs.

Blades (I miss this one *sigh*)
NXE angled
NXE flattened

How many UIs had XB1 and XBS had thus far?

Good guys, heroes, scrappy, small up-and-coming underdogs, pro-consumer Microsoft taking highly desired features and choice away from players abruptly and without warning.

I can't believe the most pro-consumer company in the Universe would do such a thing.

Good post, agreed. MS purposefully gimped third party games (and their own first party) this entire generation because of sales. They had to create the S model in order to not lose even more market share against Sony and Nintendo.

And their plan didn't even work out that well. They should have just created a digital only X console like Sony and price it the same.

Reminds me of 2007 when fake pro-consumer Microsoft made it so that Xbox 360 demos required a Gold subscription, otherwise you had to wait a week before you could play what used to be free demos, they're always trying to force a subscription down your throat. What a crock of crap!

As a child in 1995 I read about E3 in magazines and flew with my parents to L.A., I had no idea at the time that it was for industry employees only, then inside the hotel room we were staying at, we watched a news broadcast about the show, and that's when we learned that it would be impossible for me to go. So we just went to DisneyLand / Knott's Berry Farm instead. I was really sad at the time, because I knew it was going to be a magical place for gamers.

I lied on...
