Xbox Series S feels like Sega from the 90's releasing both the Saturn in Japan and the 32x in USA back in 1994. The 32x was the cheaper 'next-gen' alternative, meant to bridge the gap due to the Saturn being a costly console. They wanted to keep Genesis owners focused on Sega at a lower cost, so the 32x was created, released, and flopped embarrassingly hard. Which had the side effect of, splitting developers time, energy, and budget on yet another piece of hardware, while also los...
If you're the type to willingly log into a crappy Collar Duty game, then you get what you deserve. Either get scammed by giving Bobby Shittick your money over digital junk, or get scammed by other players who paid Bobby Shittick giving them an advantage with their digital junk.
Gaming standards have dropped so low these days that trash games have become the most popular. Such a shame.
So glad I'm done with this series. It started to go downhill after III, when they ended the only story that was interesting.
Yet they kept it going year after year with padding, filler, grindy games, with throwaway plots that remain unresolved and ignored.
Then they sunk even further with Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, with endless menu time spent, scouring for trash off the floor collecting "resources", constantly acquiring worthless gear, and const...
Independent or smaller studios need to stop selling themselves to these worthless mega corps that will shut them down at a moments notice.
It's why I hate the current state of the industry, as well as the future of it. Terrible times ahead.
Only 25 million away from topping the PS2, which is insane to me. But the successor is around one year away from launching. If it doesn't top PS2, then it would have come extremely close.
The top publishers are absolute garbage these days and don't deserve to thrive.
They scammed people with Anthem, promising updates, then just gave up on it. Releasing a broken Battlefield 2042, promising updates then just gave up on it as well.
EA will never be a decent publisher again because of these terrible business practices. Micro-trash-actions have well and truly ruined this industry.
Easy solution, just go back to the BLADES UI from 2005 🤷
Every UI since then has been a downgrade. 🤦
(*eye roll*) Can't wait to see the new one they release next year. 🙄
Emulation on Series consoles has been a complete mess. On and off, banned and unbanned. Make up your minds and release a public statement, be clear what is or isn't allowed going forward, without banning users first.
Whoever stole the keys is a true hero to game preservation.
A modded New 3DS XL or New 2DS XL is a-maz-ing! Look at the native emulators it can play.
NES / SNES / GB / GBC / GBA / DS / 3DS / SMS / GG / GEN.
But it can play even more if you install Retroarch. But make sure to buy a thick case, it makes holding the system so much more comfortable, otherwise your hands will cramp up real bad.
I just beat both games on my New 2DS XL, a couple months back, and I didn't have to pay a subscription to access them.
As for the games, they're okay, but don't come close to what Link to the Past offered.
"Almost halfway"
What? We're 2.5 years through the console generation, out of what undoubtedly be at least 8 years minimum. We're barely past the 1/3 mark, and now finally things are going to kick into high gear. You're complaining right as cross-gen is finally ending, you come across as bitching and moaning for attention, rather than having anything worth a damn to say.
This has been my stance for awhile as well. Modern gaming is turning into crap because of awful business practices intentionally releasing bad games, because the casual (as in stupid) market is allowing publishers to get away with it. The fact that EA announced a patching road map prior to the latest Star Wars game release, is nothing short of embarrassing, and should be a warning sign to stay far away from the game. Alas, people supported it with millions of sales, and then of course complai...
If that idiot Guillemot celebrates something, that's how you know its a bad thing
Astro's Playroom is an amazing game, and even though its short, I had a great time with it! More fun than many recent broken, grindy filler games, and it was FREE! It doesn't deserve to be ignored, idiot writer!
We don't need a Saturn mini, release Saturn remasters or remakes on modern consoles, just like how NiGHTS and Guardian Heroes were released on 360! Hardware power is a non issue, and there's a wider audience to sell to.
Put in the effort, the solution is right in front of you, SEGA!
Good news. This is so important for long term preservation of battery operated products, all countries should be joining in on this.
What's gone gold:
- Assassin's Creed Mirage.
- The micro-trash-action digital junk store that'll sell you additional slapstick gear, resource packs, and experience points boosters, in a game that never needed resources or "experience points" in the first place.
- Throwaway plot that doesn't evolve the modern story because they ran out of ideas 10 years ago.
- Filler side missions just to arti...
