Technical scale down is possible to a certain degree.
Imagine SSD speed allows travel by air in Horizon FW: would PS4 version will be scrapped from this feature, with waypoint instead, and any associated gameplay sequence? Or does flying feature will not be included at all in any version for game content parity and development schedule?

It will end down about how many time and money editors are willing to spend to take advantage of the most powerful boxes.

I would recommend you to go and search from launch lineup from PS2 area to now, to see that PS5 launch is one of the best all consoles included for long.

But you are just here for trolling, so there is no need.

While I share the concert than PS5/PS4 titles will certainly be held back on PS5 due to PS4, I find some comments here very negatives.

Sony is delivering big time with PS5 so far, from prices, launch line up, free games for PS plus subscribers, appealing gameplay, Square announcements etc.. go back to ps2/3/4 launch line up, and you will see PS5 is one of the best launch from Sony, or any console maker for long.

I am a fervent critic of MS strategy and ...

This digital edition at 399 is a real pain in the ass of Xbox.
Cheaper than SX with full PS5 power, almost 3x more powerful than XSS for 100 more only.

I was expecting more a 450 price tag for digital, well done Sony.

Read and article stating than PS5 manufacturing cost is 450, so seems like there is not some much money lost by Sony at launch.

That’s a very good thing, and a proof that affordable next gen consoles is possib...

You are right I believe, but the way it is done make this more like a 3D Mark bench scene than a game remaster.

1979d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That’s a shame.
Visually nothing is justifying these performances.
First Crysis was a PC killer, but for good reasons.

Sold out everywhere I looked in France already.
This console will be a massive success.

Memory bandwidth is really slashed on XSS vs SX.
It will hurt a low performances under high load on next gen titles.

I am really interested to see how games like RE village will run on it vs true next gen boxes.

Serie S is not next gen, you’ll see with comparison on next gen title.

What a pathetic vision a a game quality.....

1982d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

They don’t have 2 choices for next gen, it is misleading.

They have SX for next gen, XSS is not a next gen system despite all PR on going currently.
Why you can’t comprehend that?

But anyway, in a couple of months when XSS limitations for next gen titles will be exposed and unquestionable, as for 4K argument all Xbox fanboys will have forgotten all the time they spend currently backing up MS lies.

1984d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why calling XSS next gen system if it can’t run current gen games better than current gen system?

1984d ago 8 agree0 disagreeView comment

@Tedakin

Please stop with this 1440p/120fps none sense.
You make it looks like all games will run on it at these specs, but it is only the max rated output specs.

Xbox one/PS4 are capable of outputting 4K, or or 120fps, but not a single game runs at 4K plus 120fps.

So far, this is much a limitation than a feature, RDR2 BC is a good exemple.

1984d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

I back you up in that one.
The hype will be short once everyone will see their is no secret sauce out this $299 for next gen titles.

1985d ago 11 agree6 disagreeView comment

That’s why MS discounted the One X: it was to much of a competition for the serie S.

Without it, Serie S is now the best BC console from MS, even if less capable than One X, and that’s at least one item they can market on to sell it.

Because we will see for sure that for next gen titles Serie S will quickly shows its limitations, and will not be anymore usable as a next gen PR item.

1985d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

And here begin the long list of « but on serie S » footnotes.

I would recommend to any enthusiast interested by this console to wait for the first games analysis and see what really is possible or not on it, and don’t trust MS blindly on it.

Risk is to go for a S, then discover its real life limitations, and need to change for a SX.

We’ll see, not sure a lot of people will still play this game when 90% of console gamers will be equipped with 120Hz TV.

1985d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Sounds like a useless upgrade for the majority of console players that dos not have a 120Hz screen, except for ditching Vsync, but this would introduce tearing and stuttering.

1985d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

You are mistaken.
Sony does not plan to release any more game on PS4 pro in 5 years.

Real next gen titles will not be available on current gen hardware form Sony side.

This is the real difference with MS strategy, nothing to do with the price tag.

1985d ago 2 agree4 disagreeView comment

It is obvious that technically speaking having to target XSS will had constraints to devs.
It can be accepted if their is some business benefits for editors, time will tell.

If so, MS would have just killed all technical innovation in the console market.
