Games in this articles are run with BC on Serie S.
AC Valhalla will run the next gen version (toned down for Serie S), not through BC.
And at the opposite, older games should benefit the most from BC on a new machine.
Even if I despise the Serie S, I was expecting it to be the perfect BC console for MS fans.
But it is not the case, as it does not run the enhanced versions of the game that One X was able to do.
I feel genuinely dumb here, as lower spec GPU on Serie S vs One X should have rang the bell already.
This Serie S is really a crappy machine, next gen will suffer a lot from it, especially MS first party.

I don’t see how a Serie S is useful if you plan to have a SX alongside, if both consoles are in the same home.

What you do not see it that PC is limiting itself, by usually using additional power for just resolution or framerate.
Never wonder how 300$ consoles can keep up with 3x more expensive PC? That because compute power efficiency is far better on console vs PC.
PS5 and One X are roughly equivalent to 3 years old PC GPU in term of raw power, and I can assure you they will be able to run games never seen before graphic wise....

PS5 digital is a far better deal, if you are OK to miss Xbox exclusives.
But I believe MS strategy is to fool casual market with serie S by marketing it as a next gen system at low price.
It is a strategy rotten to the core in my opinion, and a blatant testimony of there to twist the market in a mobile gaming like situation, where hardware is secondary and revenue comes from nasty software selling methods.

This is nice and all, but the only information I'm interested in for this game is when it is expected to be released.
Even if it is an excellent game on its genre, I hardly believe anyone is waiting for Flight Simulator release on console, and it makes a selling argument for SX.
Fans plays with HOTAS on PC, console market as ditched interest for flight simulations decades ago.
