Delusional.
Little Jimmy and Sarah don’t even need a serie S then, One S is enough following your example.
Serie S will hold back MS first party games big time, the same way PS4 and One S didn’t allowed to take full benefit of Pro and One X power.
Interesting video.
Seems a little bit more difficult than dualshock to dismount, for things like battery or dpad replacement.
I think that unsoldering the motors should not be needed, it looks like that the PCB can be removed at the same time as the inner plastic motor support.
Everyone will see it now, and with any luck will discourage MS to go the same way in the futur.
Next gen console is significant power increase, anything else is delusional.
Remove the sticker, void the warranty, a good chance that some people will forget about the ribbon cable tear it appart.
Very user friendly indeed.
@ king_noctis
You should double check your link, all I see are translucent cases with Apple logo from the phone visible.
Man I do not understand such reaction.
Sony never officially committed to alternate faceplates.
The demand is there for sure, so this will happen and you should be happy for this instead of mourning that an obscure none licenced supplier get legally caught.
Imagine you preorder such faceplate and they don’t fix properly on your precious PS5. Sony wants to avoid this, as well as making some money from the feature which we can hardly criticize: ...
This is very different from a phone case, you replace a piece of the console here.
Even if it is designed to be easily removable, any design or material issue with a none licensed part may damage your console.
Sony has all legal right, they own the design.
To get back to the phone case example, not everything is allowed in this front also: no tier supplier is doing a phone case with Apple logo for example, it is legally not allowed.
Why does each Xbox gen is in need of secret sauce??
Quick resume may just be a normal boot in disguise then.
That’s really impressive.
It even feel a bit weird, we will have to get accustomed to this I think. No more loading time to crack open a cold one before game starts.
Thanks for the info. That’s quite impressive for someone who join the PS family with PS5.
I do not understand very well the PS5 collection mechanic: will we able able to redeem all these games for free on PS5, or just one of them?
Thanks.
Yeah sure, God of War, Bloodborne are on game pass for halt a year.....
I must concede to the green team that you give us priceless moments on a regular basis. Thanks a lot.
@Ocelot
I talk in euros which is the currency where I live. It was never famous on your side of the Channel ;)
Interesting indie+ game for the subject it address, and nice graphics, but no contender for Game of the gen by far.
I have the feeling a lot of people discussing this game never played it and believe it is some kind of Horizon like ARPG just based on its graphics.
I only hope Ninja Theory didn’t burn its wings with the marketing BS they have been involved on SX, and that Hellblade 2 will have more than graphics to proposed. First game didn’t felt like a sequel was ...
Really? 1440p ray tracing pc is something like 400 to 500 gpu, 300 cpu, 100 motherboard, 100 ram, 100 case and supply.
It is already a 1000+ mark.
How is it financially competitive vs console? Gpu only is the price of the full console, even if you upgrade this part.
Use parts? Well, used consoles are also way cheaper.
Really, it game parity which next gen console is part of the discussion, I see no way to built PC config ...
@Giblet
I got you point, but you will certainly agree that you will not be able to match game performances out of your 970 vs Serie X or PS5.
I think it is a matter of understanding of the question raised by this article: it is possible to game on PC spending less money than consoles ? Yes for sure.
Is it possible with the same game performances and graphical features ? Not at all in my opinion.
Everyone will pick ...
I don’t know a single PC player, myself included, that does not upgrade something on its machine every 3 years or so.
Plus, starting with a PC config that will usure console parity for 7 to 8 years requires a initial investment around 2k.
I cannot see how in the long term PC gaming is cheaper than console gaming.
Aside the cost and maintainability arguments I found very biased in this article, the other points are pertinent.
Temperature in game are lower than ps4 pro for example, but we don’t really know what is the GPU load required to make Gears 5 run.
Standby temps seems weird, in modern pc setups standby temperature of GPU and CPU dies is hardly over 45 degrees, and much lower for air exhaust
Air exhaust at 50°C on this SX in standby seems to indicate that something is going on in standby mode, curious to know what it is.
For the sticker: maybe FTC sorted this out in the US, but this is not the only country in the world.
In Europe, sticker removal voids the guaranty.
