I agree with you.
I pick with no hesitation 1080p/60 on PC vs 4K/30.
The resolution difference is almost invisible especially with latest AA technics, while FPS is a massive game changer.
I think we will have more high FPS modes with next gen now that it is delivered with enough CPU power. It was a big bottleneck on current gen.
Congratulations to Insomniac indeed, especially because they will deliver 2 games for PS5 close to launch.
This is a heart warming exemple of a committed studio and clever game development management.
For what I see with R&C, graphic wise next gen is going to be a behemoth. Thing are already impressive at gen launch, that’s very promising for mid gen releases.
I am waiting to see how Cyberpunk will unfold on next gen consoles vs...
R&C is a Sony IP, it will never come to other console.
Maybe a PC port will be possible at some point of time as for Horizon.
Don’t comment on Sony article if you don’t like them :)
Yes I am, because of the bad influence they can have on the global gaming market with the way they try to force on business model.
But seems like for people like you, it is forbidden to talk about MS in any case except for blind adoration.
Any critical comment in a MS story is criticized with the usual « don’t comment on MS article if you don’t like them ».
Now it is criticized to talk about them even in a Sony article.
...
The technical gap is so huge vs what MS shown with Infinite it almost hurts.
MS is going to be crushed from start to finish on next gen I am afraid, they got the hardware but no ambition to do anything with it, that’s a shame.
Sony is casually releasing this demo, no need for any smoke and mirror and overhyped pretentious event to give gamers what they expect.
I don’t believe one bit in this new studio.
It is the new secret sauce from MS, all talk and nothing shown for too long now.
One had to be massively candid to believe the no hold back argument.
It is so obvious technically wise that it raise a lot of questions about these game journalists expertise.
Completely wrong as One X is just a tiny portion of Xbox sales. Their is One S available all over the globe.
They are performing as much as their crappy strategy allow them, don’t try to find them excuses.
This passage of the article is a disgrace of journalism:
- game price increase is a rumor, some editors have spoken about it, they is not rule for a general game increase.
- COVID argument is so mean. Families financially impacted by this tragic pandemic are struggling on a global scale for hobby and none essential products. They will no go with a console gen change period, so cost of extra controller is really not their first concern.
Misconducting comment. Xbox controllers does not comes with rechargeable batteries, they need to be purchased separately.
Strange you hide this, has Xbox fans always brag that it is much better to have non rechargeable batteries.
You are trying too hard.
Good comment. That’s exactly that we see this gen, some people try to convince the industry that staying in the past is the way to go.
It is if you want to milk customers by recycling old stuff at premium price.
We are blessed to have Sony and Nintendo continuing on developing innovative and disruptive products.
If is was for MS only, this market would have been sacrificed already.
Is it a paid article by MS?
This argument as popped up this gen as a desperate move to find a attack angle on PS5.
It was the same for all previous gen, this is just zero interest to discuss.
Just an other trial to pass BC for the next big thing to cover MS is screwing next gen by time.
Plus, PS4 controller is supported by PS5 for compatible PS4 games.
As for now Xbox coffin is entirely made of nails, most of them by MS itself.
False, digital foundry made an analysis, definitely not a CGI trailer.

Would be an amazing move if confirmed officially.
I think MS had to much emphasis on RT.
People may think if a game don’t use it it is a bad thing, but their is many more technics available to manage reflection.
It may end with general lower performances on Xbox platform if RT is forced to be used as a marketing gimmick.
I think you embody all that is painfully wrong with extreme Xbox fanboyism.
Sorry it is a little rude but it need to be said.
MS is screwing there own next gen launch so much it is honestly very hard to witness, even for Sony supporters.
You need to overcome this lockup in your brain that prevent you to have any amount of realistic criticism on MS. You should f..ck MS first in your list, no one else you finger point is responsible f...
I think he is referring to Sony fans.
I agree with him, although downplayed by MS fans I believe we helped turns several MS train wreck in a better direction.
But you cannot ask to the opposite side to fix all your problems.
Has I have stated several times, MS fans need to get their shit together and confront MS directly. I am now convinced that even the most hardcore MS fan deep down is aware of the joke this next gen launch is for MS, but are s...
Once again, PC players must thanks console market to push things forward.
Sure SSD are part of PC for a long time now, but was just used as an extra for better load times.
Now that next gen games will be able use SSD as a core asset of game structure, i am sure PC minimum requirements will quickly moved to mandatory SSD.
That’s a win/win situation in my opinion, the general gaming community will benefit from it.
