No, on current gen they released the base next gen model first, then a more powerful version later.

120Hz equipped console gamers is certainly a very low percentage of the market.
The jump from 30fps to 60fps is massive, i am far more convinced that going from 60fps to 120fps as a valuable cost vs benefit ratio.
