So long as the art style is as good as ever and it runs fairly smoothly, I for one won't care. Art, for me, has a much bigger impact on my enjoyment than the amount of polygons and particle effects on screen.

Virtue's Last Reward was the first I played in the series, (never owned a DS) and it took my breath away. I remember starting the game during my week off work, just checking it out. Three days later I'd already put in almost 30 hours, and I was struggling to sleep. Honestly one of the best games I've ever played, and opened up my world to just how great visual novels can be.

As for whether it's the best VN out there... I'd say Danganronpa 2 juuuuuust ab...

If they remove the scene with Lindow smoking that just strikes me as weird. Do they think teens won't have seen hundreds of people in real life who smoke?

What do they mean "once again?"

Do they mean last year's conference was better, back when Sony blew people's minds with the reveals of Shenmue 3, FF7 remake, The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn? Back when there were tons upon tons of reaction videos and people saying "every dream has come true?"

Or do they mean before that, back when Sony dropped the bomb about supporting used games and not forcing online connectivity to st...

And now people are trying to spin it to say that "Big mean Sony" won't bring their games to PC and let peace and harmony spread throughout the land. Instead they are evil tyrants for having exclusives! HOW DARE THEY!? Nope, no entitlement here, no no no... XD

"Her performance, which seems almost surreal, caught so much attention in tournaments against Korean powerhouse teams that rivals started accusing her of cheating.

The most notable examples were ELTA and Strobe from Dizziness. These two players have retired after Gegury was cleared of all accusations, as they had bet she was a fraud over their competitive careers."

Wow... that must've been embarrassing. XD

I hope Yooka Laylee and Bloodstained blow this game out of the water.

It needs to be shown that crowd-funded games can succeed in giving fans what they want, and not leave their backers feeling bitter and disappointed.

What's funny is at the beginning of this gen, so many people claimed that the PS4 had no "hidden power" and that devs would max it out in a year or so because of its architecture. We'll see about that...

But whatever. The more time goes on the less I seem to care about graphics. Games these days are looking better that my teenage self could've even imagined. I couldn't possibly be unsatisfied. Hell, I still get impressed by PS3 games.

I never did get around to playing any of the Mass Effect games, and by the time I'd gained some interest, news of the ME3 ending turned me off for good.

So hearing that they're giving the series somewhat of a reset, possibly building a new trilogy without ties to the previous one, is good news for me.

I tend not to replay games anymore. At the moment, I have a goal of building a list of my top 100 games of all time, with only one per franchise. So as not to stuff the end of the list with games which are merely "decent but not great" I decided upon a certain cut off point, and any games below it don't make the cut, even if I do genuinely enjoy them. So far my list has 88 games, and I'm looking to find games that will complete the list, whether they be modern or retro. A cu...

Trying to take down your backlog is usually a never-ending battle. Once you realise that, it's ever so easy to fall back on certain games.

My current backlog sits at 20 games, many of them RPGs. I got it down to 6 last year, but have since bought a crap-ton of games. I'm still getting through them, but with the sheer number of releases, it's not easy. Still, I'm glad to have a selection of different games to tackle.

To be fair, Gone Home is an amazing game that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of walking aimlessly around an empty house, not playing video games and wondering why your family left. Never before has a game given such an accurate portrayal of the life of a Polygon writer.

Stop. Calling it. Next. Gen. PS4 and XB1 are current gen! How difficult is that to understand!? They've been out for nearly 3 years!

But what if I want Link to be black? Or gay? Or Chinese? Or transgender? Or obese? Or autistic? What if I want Link to identify as a sausage disposal unit? If my character doesn't have the exact same traits as me it'll trigger me!

The only solution is to demand developers to do everything I say, for fear of being shamed as bigots if they don't. How dare they create a character of their choosing!? My FEE FEES!

Ah, I see. To be honest, I wasn't aware lots of people said they wanted to go full digital into Vita. The PSP Go didn't exactly do very well... Most people I talk to nowadays want physical Vita games, either for collection or because it's their preferred format.

Finding physical Vita games in retail is difficult, and I rely entirely on online purchasing for all my games. It's still a great system IMO. :)

The expensive memory cards relates directly to why many people DON'T want to go digital. A 16GB memory card currently costs £35 on Amazon, which is more than the cost of a brand new Vita game. Since many games need around 1-2 GB of data, you're looking at enough space for around 10 games, maybe less if the game is big. Of course, you could go for a 64GB card, which is around £80 on Amazon. Or... you could buy physical copies and not have to worry about any of that, and just ...

I don't care what anyone says; I was a big fan of the first game and I am hyped for this one.

Go ahead, call me a dudebro. Then I can put it alongside "weeaboo" "hipster gamer" "retro fanatic" and all the other things I've been called, because apparently you can tell exactly the kind of person someone is from one game they like. ;)

Still my most anticipated game, and has been for several years. Ico and Shadow of The Colossus are simply masterpieces, and this looks to be a true successor to those games.

I am so thankful that Sony didn't just axe the project, considering it's been in development hell.

Unfortunately, digital only. :/ Hopefully we can convince them otherwise or maybe get Limited Run Games involved since I won't buy unless there's a physical version.
