"But what you really want is some of the games that no other platform can offer."
Then why are you naming games also found on PC? If you want to make a list of exclusives, list only exclusives! Don't set a certain criteria and then break your own rules!
You can play PS1 classics on Vita.
Why do some ignorant people assume that old games aren't fun unless you're addled by nostalgia? I've been playing Final Fantasy 6 for the first time ever in my life, and I love it! And that game is, what, over 20 years old? I also played Spyro 2 close to the release of the PS4, and I thought it was awesome, one of my favourite games of all time, by the same standard as modern games. Same goes for Symphony of The Night, Front Mission 3, Klonoa 2 and a number of other games I didn...
What blows my mind the most is that they can keep such an incredible level of consistency over such a wide range of very different environments. Some games look amazing but look pretty much the same the entire way through. Uncharted juggles completely different settings with a huge variety of colour schemes and looks fantastic no matter what, both on a technical level and an artistic level.
I'll be getting Battlefield 1 for sure. This is the first time I've been really excited for an FPS since, well... Battlefield 4.
People keep saying about botched launches, and the devs have commented on this, saying they're going to be much more stringent this time around and have learned from their mistakes. And to be honest, I played BF4 on launch and didn't run into any major problems at all, so I don't know what supposedly went wrong for some player...
(Count this as a reply to your reply to me, which... I can't reply to. Damn this site... -__- )
The issue isn't anything to do with whether I can afford it. I buy around 30-40 games a year so the cost of an extra one wouldn't make much difference. The difference is whether I think something is WORTH it, and whether I agree with the practices surrounding it. And I personally do not think it is worth it. If they were selling CoD4 separate for say, $40, I don't...
That's correct, only 10 maps compared to 16 from the original.
It's people like you that allow game companies to get away with screwing the consumer.
And no, I don't think $80 for a stripped down version of a nine year old game we've all already played is worth it, especially not when they could easily sell it separately for $20.
I think much of the hate comes from making the remastered COD4 exclusive to the limited edition version of Infinite Warfare. Plus, now that Battlefield 1 has been announced people are picking sides and crapping on the other. As for Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1, I think it's awesome to see each franchise taking each end of the setting spectrum with distant future vs WW1. They could be different enough to warrant buying both.
Am I the only one who wants a new Spyro?
This is basically you right now: https://youtu.be/Ko1sklmOR9...
It's one review for one game, and a great score at that! But oh no, reviewers need to give games the objective "right" score or they're just wrong and should be shamed... "He gave it an 8? Must be begging for hits!" Honestly, it's this kind of pathetic attitude that makes gamers look like a bunch of morons.
Thank you for ruining the ending, you inconsiderate *****. And don't give that "all Uncharteds are the same anyway, we knew it wouldn't happen" crap. I hope you get banned, idiot.
The thing is, in many ways FFVIII could very well have been my favourite. It has my favourite music from the series, my favourite ending, my favourite final boss, my favourite minigame (triple triad), some of my favourite locations...
But there's one major thing that I hate about this game, and that's the levelling system. Levelling your characters is actually detrimental to their strength due to enemies levelling along with you, meaning that the most surefire way t...
Not watching. I want this game to be completely fresh. All I've seen is the E3 2015 trailer, and I don't want to see a second more. I would say it's great to hear that the game is awesome, but let's be honest. We all knew it would be.
Most of the time I want games to get remasters, not because I want to buy them, but because I'd like to see the game get more recognition, and have more people play it. Games like Metal Arms: Glitch in The System, Gregory Horror Show: Soul Collector, Crush, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Klonoa 1+2 etc.
I used to be the same. I would take Gamespot and PSM3 scores really seriously, and then after I would check the score on gamerankings. Just the score, nothing else. Over time I've realised that I was going about it all the wrong way. Nowadays I buy games based on research and reviewers who share similar opinions to me, and sometimes I buy games on a whim, and have often been incredibly surprised.
As for sites deducting scores for difficulty, try and seek out the Gamesp...
I'd love to see handheld gaming go on and thrive, but there's just no chance of it happening. It's such a shame, too. I love handhelds, but realistically, most people would rather just game on their phone or tablet. :/
Do we know if they will be physical or digital only? I'd be fine waiting a little while for a Vita release, but only if I can get a physical copy.
Harder.
I have nothing against the Xbox One. I just have a problem with the article. Same way I'd take issue if an article listed the "Top 10 PS4 exclusives" and then listed a bunch of games that were also on Vita or PS3. People shouldn't use the term "exclusive" unless they genuinely mean exactly that, especially when they say the line from the article I quoted in my original comment.
