Exactly. I find it hard to get hyped by promises of "it'll get better at some point." Just release a great game on day one and people will take notice.
Timesplitters 4 is by far the unannounced sequel I want most. I desperately hope they can bring the series back, and keep it as the goofy, zombie and monkey infested craziness intact. Oh, and bricks. Lots of bricks.
I'd say Uncharted 2 is my favourite of the series, but U4 is a close second.
Most hilarious comment I've seen on N4G. I love it! XD
"Girlfriends or wives to entertain." Entertain? LMAO. You make women sound like small children who need keys jangled in front of them or uptight "you ain't playin' no vidya gaymes! We gots to eat in a restaurant an' take pictures to impress mah facebook friends!" b****es. Most people I know have gfs who are either gamers themselves or are completely understanding of their hobby.
"Get over it."
Absolutely! I'll get over it by sticking with older consoles. I'll be completely fine and having tons of fun. :)
Not sure, but one thing I will say is that I hope for once, just ONCE that the people who spew hatred and accuse Activision of screwing the consumer actually stick to their guns and refuse to buy the game.
If you're going to criticise a certain practice and claim you hate the direction a game is taking, and then STILL buy the damn thing then you deserve every ounce of disappointment and buyer's remorse that comes your way.
Don't release half a game and then maybe you'll get better sales. Promising more content "down the line" is just going to make people lose interest and forget about it.
I mean, I'm not a big Street Fighter fan but I do love Tekken. If Tekken 7 was released with only 10 characters and a lack of modes you can bet your ass I wouldn't be buying it. Be loyal to your fans and they will be loyal to you.
I'll stick with physical games, thanks. If next gen turns out to be 100% digital then I guess it's time to scour eBay and buy all those retro games and consoles I never got around to playing. Plus I can finally take care of my extensive backlog... Your move, console manufacturers. Your move. :)
If a new Crash does happen, I don't think it should be ND who does it. They've moved a long way away from the original Crash games, I don't know how comfortable they'd be going back to it .
With that said, if Insomniac made a Spyro PS4 I would be first in line.
I'm sorry but I desperately hope they do NOT remake R+C 2. The story was so bad even Insomniac acts like it's not part of the series canon; Ratchet, Clank and Quark were all majorly out of character, the protopets just aren't worthy bad guys, and Angela's disguise makes absolutely no sense other than "what a twist!" It was overstuffed with a ridiculous amount of different weapons, too many of which should have gone to the cutting room floor, including the two worst w...
What's wrong is when people have some kind of vendetta against reviewers who "give the wrong score." And yet every single gamer on the planet has unpopular gaming opinions. Game X is "overrated" and game Y is "underrated." So why is it so difficult for many in the gaming community to accept an outlying opinion, sometimes even one that is just BARELY outlying, (such as Videogamer's 8/10 for Uncharted 4) without accusing the reviewer of begging for hits, or...
YOU RUINED THE METASCORE! You broke my heart...
I play my Vita all the time, and there are still a number of upcoming games that I want to buy. I own 34 physical games (19 of which are full exclusives, not even including updated ports like P4G or Muramasa Rebirth) plus a number of downloaded titles, and that number is sure to grow and grow as time goes by.
It's never too late to buy a Vita. I absolutely love this system! :)
It's such a shame because CoD4 really felt like a labour of love, a work of passion. So to see the series reduced to this is just... disheartening.
Was looking forward to this, but the review makes it sound rather meh. Maybe one to buy after a price cut. Ah well, there is always Persona 5 and Ni No Kuni 2.
Uncharted 4 completely exceeded all my expectations in terms of graphics. I've been spending way too much time just stopping and staring, marveling at the insane amount of detail and playing around with photo mode.
While other games get downgrade after downgrade and people blame the hardware to no end, Naughty Dog blows all their efforts out of the water. And remember, this is their FIRST PS4 release. Go ahead and compare the first Uncharted to The Last of Us. My frien...
Haven't beaten it yet, currently 8 hours into it and I hope it lasts as long as possible. So many games I beat way too quickly. I was kinda disappointed in Ratchet and Clank's length, actually, as I beat it in a couple days, and that's on hard mode, collecting every gold bolt, every RYNO part, and exploring the Insomniac Museum.
I disagree with your first comment; I disliked both the story AND the gameplay. Each to their own and everything, but I found MGSV's gameplay to be rather boring. I thought the open world and the mother base were bland and uninteresting, and few of the missions felt like they had much thought put into them. Plus I hate that I could S rank missions by running and gunning like Rambo, alerts blaring and getting shot to pieces, but if I try to play stealthily, I would need not get a no-spot n...
Agreed. After MGSV I'm reluctant to put my trust in him, especially if it's a "Division-like" game.
And to think, this almost never got released outside of Japan because Sony expected it to flop. It took word of mouth of epic proportions to get a western release, and now the series is a juggernaut.
One of the best games ever made. :)
