Vita tends to get attention at TGS, just from other developers, not Sony. I fully expect we'll see some more Vita game announcements. :)
I'd rather the devs spend their time actually making new games instead of remastering everything.
The Vita is an awesome system. It's just that for some reason, people assume there are no games for it, that it's a dead system etc. They can go on believing crap while I continue to buy more games for it than my PS4. Their loss, not mine.
After the No Man's Sky controversy I completely forgot about Mighty Number 9! XD

This just goes to show one reason why I always prefer buying games physically. If I get bored or don't like it (or even if I do like it, and just want some money), I'm free to trade it in at a game shop or sell it on eBay. There's no legal discussion, no qualms, no issue, and no difficulty in simply getting money back on a product I'm unhappy with, even if it won't be every penny.
Even if everything you say is 100% true, you're insinuating that it's completely fine for developers to lie about their game... provided they "patch it in" over the course of a couple years? And we're not allowed to complain? Sorry, but that's ridiculous.
This is the first generation where we've taken one step forward and three steps back, and people are actually making excuses for this s***, and shaming those who make valid complaints. Sorry, ...
Okay... That was pretty funny. XD
Yup. The way Hello Games were hyping up the center of the galaxy moment, saying it was "something special," that it would be a fitting end of your journey if you chose it to be... And it was essentially a Windows screen saver.
I was expecting something like a vast temple containing secrets, explanations and lore, a wise ancient race, or something. ANYTHING but the pathetic ending they provided. I'm glad I was never excited for this game in the first place.
"People just overhyped themselves!"
*Evidence arises of developers lying many, many times about several aspects that people were excited to see, and completely dodging when asked about it*
"But... But... But... you should like it for what it is, not what you want it to be!"

MGSV is big, yes. But MGS4 packed in more excitement and awesome moments in a couple hours than I could manage to squeeze out of the entire 35-40 hours I spent with MGSV. Just padding, padding, padding. Even though I didn't tackle a single side mission the game felt bloated and padded to all hell. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it, I was so bored.
Masterpiece? I strongly disagree. I wouldn't even call it a good game. 6/10 I'd say. It has some great moments, and the core mechanics are impeccable, but overall it felt soulless and bland. MGS 1-4 are some of my favourite games of all time, but TPP is just "some game."
And for anyone who pulls the ridiculous "you just have nostalgia goggles on" card, I played Peace Walker for the first time only a FEW MONTHS before I played TPP, and I enjoyed i...
I actually really liked the original Watch Dogs. I mean, it was no GTAV, but it still kept me invested and kept me playing all through to the end. So I don't feel any shame in being excited for the sequel.
But where is the blast processing? Huh!?

I still can't believe Legend of Dragoon 2, Panzer Dragoon Saga 2, Dungeon Travelers 3, Vagrant Story 2, Front Mission 6, Granstream Saga 2, Oreshika 3, King's Field 5 and Jade Cocoon 3 were all released as Free To Play games with subscriptions and microtransactions. By Jove, I think I'll stick to me Sega Master System!
I would personally disagree. Aside from the moments where you can fling circular saw blades into enemies (one of the more entertaining uses of the gravity gun) I will never, for the life of me, understand why so many people rave about Ravenholm. I've experienced atmosphere leaps and bounds beyond anything in the entire chapter and faced enemies ten times more fearsome than the poison headcrab. Add to that the humdrum level design, and I just don't get it. Sorry, matey. :(
In my personal experience, expectations and hype tends to have very little impact on my actual experience with the game. I've been hyped to the maximum for games, and had my expectations surpassed. I've played games I had no expectations for, and thought they were atrocious. And vice versa, games have been the complete opposite of my expectations.
This idea that being hyped will lead to disappointment needs to die. True masterpieces will always be incredible, no ma...
For once I actually agree with a Kotaku article! I felt the original Half Life was a much better experience than Half Life 2, and definitely more memorable. (Then again, HL2 is a 6/10 in my book so it wasn't that hard!)
