The thing is, I think Bioshock kind of messed up on the "kill or don't kill the little sisters" thing. The idea is that by harvesting them you get more Adam, can become more powerful, while saving them reaps half the Adam, so half the reward! OMG such a true test of morality...
Oh, except for the fact that if you save them they continuously leave Adam and ammo packages as a reward, completely negating your moral choice. Just save them, and you'll get esse...
I remember when someone on n4g claimed, without a hint of irony, that the original Resident Evil was (and I quote) "a parody of survival horror." Because apparently, you can become the benchmark for a genre while also parodying it.
Oh man, those comments make it all worthwhile... XD
I played a demo of this at EGX 2015 and was pretty underwhelmed...
Meanwhile, Aaero, another "rhythm violence" game that's vastly superior to Thumper, has gone under the radar. Supposedly out this year though the devs have been quiet.
When this happened to me I just took a break from gaming and did other stuff with my free time like reading, going for walks etc. Eventually I came back to gaming, and nowadays I mix up what I do with my free time.
Sorry, but if anything, I'd like to see MORE reviewers have the balls to actually give games 5/10 and under if they don't like it, and for gamers to be more accepting of opinions instead of shouting "CLICKBAIT" from the rooftops. 5/10 should mean average, but it doesn't anymore because gamers flip their lids at any score out of place leading to publications inflating their scores to appease the masses.
If a reviewer plays a game and doesn't like it...
"You cant drive where you want to at all it forces you onto a set path."
Damn... That really is tragic. :(
Played these on the Vita and was blown away. Two of my favourite games of all time. PS4 owners are in for a treat!
I find it depressing that we had 1080p 60fps games even LAST GEN, like Wipeout HD, which was a launch title for goodness sake! And yet still, almost a decade later, it's somehow out of reach on consoles. It's just bizarre.
Agreed. If a dev decides to make an exclusive off their own back or collaborate with another company for help on the game, that's fine. It can actually benefit the game itself. But timed exclusives are prepped and ready for multiplat release, and only stopped by a big fat paycheck. It's a disheartening business tactic.
Well that f***ing sucks.
I want the game but have no interest in VR. Guess I won't be buying it for a long, long time.
Just find out what knife Ellie uses, that thing is indestructible.
I can only wonder what Hello Games are collectively thinking right now. (Literally. They've been silent since the middle of August.) But really, they put this game out knowing that it wasn't what was promised. It may have worked in the short term and bagged them a ton of cash, but in the long term, they've lost what could've been a loyal fanbase. Sean Murray will remain infamous for the rest of his life as a game dev, (just look at Peter Molyneux) and the next game they work o...
People were told "You just hyped yourselves up! You expected so much!" It hadn't quite come to light just how much BS Sean Murray had spewed and how much promised content was not there. Now people are excusing it by saying "It's only an indie game! You can't have expected the content even IF it was promised!" The same people who championed NMS for being an ambitious indie game on AAA level simultaneously insulting all indie games by saying "just an indie g...
I don't quite agree, in that, sometimes content is changed over the course of development. However, if that old trailer is used at a time when the game is prepping for release and a new one is not available, (I.e. NMS trailer on the steam page at time of release) and the devs haven't notified the gaming press that certain features will not be there, (or outright lies about features and then never corrected themselves) or the same advertised content is being held back for DLC, then yes...
Circle of The Moon is easily one of my favourite handheld games of all time. Few games on the little screen feel as epic or as awe-inspiring.
Oh no, Square Enix made a sexy female character. OH MY GAWD they're all perverts who view women as objects!
Dear author, there is literally nothing to reconcile here. They made something with a sexy character, big whoop. There is no reason why I should even give this any thought. Even if it's just straight up wish fulfillment, so what? Is there something inherently wrong about that? Are you saying women don't do that? *cough* Twilight *cough* Shaking your head a...
I think I might ask for this game for Xmas. Everyone seems to absolutely love it.
This is Minecraft for the Vita all over again. Sold in a retail box, open it up, only has a download code inside. When will publishers realise that some of us actually want a physical disc?
Mary Skelter and Uppers? They do have some ecchi content but it's not OTT from what I can see in comparison to games like Valkyrie Drive and Omega Labyrinth. I don't mind a bit of fanservice but it seems like tons of Vita releases are anime boob jiggling simulators these days, and that's a shame considering how many other games have been released in Japan and could do well here. Here's hoping more localisation news crops up this year!
I personally thought the first Resistance game was far and away the best in the series, both in terms of single-player and multi-player. Resistance 2 was my least favourite, and while Resistance 3 was a step up for the campaign, with some cool weapons, the multi-player was wildly unbalanced at the time of release. (I.e. you would get more xp and rewards for IGNORING the objective)
So yeah, Resistance: Fall of Man is easily my favourite. It really drew me into its world, mad...
