I know the feeling, lol. I currently have 43 physical Vita games, with several soon to be added, plus more next year. Mary Skelter and Tokyo Xanadu are currently my most anticipated. Plus, I'm really hoping we hear localisation news on Net High, Caligula, Coven and The Labyrinth, Uppers, & Idol Death Game TV. :)
The Vita is absolutely criminally underrated. I often play it at work during lunch break, while I'm in bed, or while on a trip. So many people say it's dead, yet it somehow still has plenty of upcoming releases. (But of course "Japanese games and indies don't count!") I play it more than my PS4, and have way more games for it than PS4. Being able to play anywhere is a huge bonus for me, and I love being able to turn it off, pack it away, and then continue right where I l...
I can see the headlines in 2019:
"Okay, Vita is definitely dead now you guys. You kinda have to ignore all the games that just released for it, including exclusives, but it's definitely dead. Something something Japanese games don't count, something something you can get most Vita games provided you own a PS4, PS3, PC, 3DS and mobile, OMG such a port machine you guys, Xbox One is way better."
The only thing that stops me from beating a game is if I simply don't enjoy it. Otherwise, I keep it on my backlog list, and get around to it eventually.
My expectation is that it lives up to the standard set by Ico and Shadow of The Colossus. And from the brief E3 gameplay demo, it looked to be exactly that.
It all depends on the games, both first and third party. Until we know that, it's up in the air for now.
Exactly. This comes across as trying too hard and comes across as patronising to gay people. By making a big deal out of it they're doing the OPPOSITE of normalising LGBT characters. No fuss was made about Kung Jin from Mortal Kombat and the others you mentioned, that's how it should be done.
"Hasn't happened to me so they must be lying!"
- Sincerely, idiots.
And best of all, the games still keep coming. I'm constantly astounded by the number of niche JP Vita games that are being localised in the west. Stuff like Dungeon Travelers, Yomawari, Shiren The Wanderer, Tokyo Xanadu, Mary Skelter... Back in the PSP/DS era there were TONS of games that stayed in Japan. Now we're getting pretty much everything. (They'd better localise Net High, Caligula, Coven and DT2-2... They had better...)
Definitely agree. Freedom Wars is a great game and one of the Vita's best.
Your comment has more new information than this interview.
Never count your chickens before they hatch. Plus, calling the Mini NES "innovative" is just ridiculous. Plug-n-play mini consoles have been around for years.
But the PS3 had tons of exclusives...
(Just saying)
I've come to this realisation of why the current rise of social justice has had a detrimental effect.
As expected, many people in the comments are immediately dismissive of this piece. Why? Because they're sexists? Because they think harassment is funny? Because they want to excuse their own deeds? Probably not. In all likelihood, it's because they've heard people cry wolf so many times that now they won't listen to anyone.
Just the o...
I won't be getting at launch even if it does get fixed. Heck, I've played games and have still encountered horrible bugs even months after release. I've learned my lesson, and now I'll wait until games are half price, unless they're on Vita. I've never, ever had this issue with any Vita game, probably why I actually prefer the system to my PS4.
It's not just Ubisoft. After LittleBigPlanet 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and others I've gotten sick of games this gen being released in bad states.
As for the "ambition" of said games, I couldn't care less. I would rather play a game with PS2 graphics that works than a state of the art, open world, polygon count trough the roof game that's buggy.
As if we didn't have enough reasons to stop pre-ordering games, ESPECIALLY Ubisoft games.
I'm one of the biggest dissenters of pre-order culture, but... I have waited over a decade since SotC to play this game. I wouldn't care if it got 55 on Metacritic or the graphics were PS2 level. This has been my most anticipated game since Dark Souls, and I am bloody well playing it the moment it gets released!
While I definitely enjoyed this one, I'd say Crimes and Punishments is still better. I feel this one made too much of an effort to be "epic" which feels a little out of place in a slow-paced detective game. Plus, there's only 4 real cases this time around (case 5 is a more linear, adventure-style affair) compared to 6 from C & P.
I'm sick of games being released in buggy/unfinished states, the vast majority of which tend to be the big budget, AAA releases. Plus if I just wait 6 months I'll be able to get most games for half price. I've learned my lesson.
