I've been a Sony fan ever since the PS1 and own every console and handheld they've made. I've owned other systems but Sony has always been the best for me, always top dog.
After over 20 years of being their fan, Sony is really pushing me away with their censorship practices. The Switch is looking more appealing with each passing day.
This happens with almost every game that gets released. Why is this news?
God of War would be my pick, Monster Hunter a close 2nd, but I can see Red Dead sweeping most of the awards this time around.
"We need a new fight engine that patterns real fighting."
And we pretty much have that in the UFC series. A fight can be ended with a single well-placed blow to the head and the games have a depth that mirrors actual fighting on a high end level rather than the movie-fight "HOYYAAA!" approach. The mechanics may not be perfect, but they're at least close enough to what you seem to be asking for. Failing that the more recent games in the Fight Night series turn ...
You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. You're either being intellectually dishonest or you simply haven't played fighting games in the past decade.
NPCs defending their own kind. Why am I not surprised?
@RpgSama
Agreed. If a game is literally unplayable it should get a fat 0/10, and only get bumped up at a later date if the game becomes functional. (Not saying Fallout 76 is a 0/10 btw, haven't played it) The state of games being complete messes at launch is a blight on the industry and what better way to dissuade this than to tell it like it is?
I can't believe they're planning to use the same engine for ESVI. As someone who used to champion Bethesda back in the Morrowind and Oblivion days, it's sad to see them come to this. You really do either die a hero or become the villain.
It's okay, Activision just doesn't want my money. It's fine, I'll give it to someone else instead.
Each to their own, but I won't be buying it for this very reason. There are plenty of other games I can buy instead.
Download required? Glad I cancelled my preorder. Would've got this day one but I cannot support this practice. No buy from me, tons of other games to play instead.
Activision just needs to clarify this whole situation with an official statement. I canceled my preorder specifically because of their refusal to comment on whether all games will be on disc in the physical release. Sure, we had people like YongYea and other articles saying the delay was to fix that, but everything was still based on rumors and "I heard from an anonymous tipster."
Activision. Do you want me to buy the game on day one or not? Do you want my money? Because I...
Link? I've seen tons of articles and videos that say the same thing but have no credible source, just rumors.
As far as we know, no. The game stills requires a download to play Spyro 2 and 3. And before anyone tries linking to YongYea or some other article saying the delay was so they could put all games on the disc, not a single one of those (at least that I've seen) features an official or credible source. So for now, we must assume the worst.
They lost a sale from me, for sure.
I loved the multiplayer for KZ2, KZ3 and Mercenary. (The latter of which is still running and has active players) But I have to be honest, I did not like Shadowfall's multiplayer and quit playing pretty quickly.
I hope this tool has his case thrown out like the crap that it is.
Wow, what a disappointment. Sure, he's probably feeling pissed that he didn't ask for more in the initial deal, but let's be honest, the success of the games has transferred into more sales of his novels. Most people hadn't even heard of them before the games came along, it's given him tons of exposure. And as others have said, a deal was made, papers were signed.
That's the thing that gets me, in most JRPGs adding extra difficulty just means "you better grind a lot" so I think, why choose that? But if that was the standard difficulty and there was no other option it wouldn't matter very much because I wouldn't be thinking "Crap, if only I'd chosen THIS option," I would just deal with it without an ounce of regret. Not to mention JRPGs are notorious for difficulty spikes and 10 hour long tutorial-esque introductions ...
Make it £1 and I'll buy it.
I could use a coffee coaster.
