I don't hate Stadia in the slightest. I look forward to its launch! I also look forward to its crushing demise. Gaming is fun fun fun! All smiles here. :)
It's the age-old "this game isn't like other games" without realising that maybe that's the whole point, and people want to play it for that very reason. It's better for games to have their own identity. I'd been getting increasingly bored of shooters for the past 5 years or so and Doom was a breath of fresh air, specifically because it was completely unlike anything else.
Smoking bad.

This is why I've never seen the point in censoring "attractive" characters or opting to give them smaller breasts / less revealing clothes specifically so that people won't be titillated. People will lewd EVERYTHING, even stuff portrayed in the most innocent way imaginable.
It baffles me that people use the "go watch porn" argument. As if the only media that should exist are either sexless and innocent or hardcore sex-fests. It also makes no sense that people should be shamed for liking sexy characters but receive no shame for watching porn. Utterly backwards logic.
As you rightly said, "go watch a slasher flick."
My favourite licensed soundtrack ever. I actually have the limited edition soundtrack CD set and still occasionally listen to it while driving.
I think everyone has that "exception to the rule" when it comes to games, or opinions that feel somewhat hypocritical but are absolutely genuine.
As for my own personal example, I'll start by saying that I LOVE JRPGs. Some of my absolute favourite games of all time fall into this genre. That said, there are 3 very highly regarded JRPGs that I just didn't care for, and spent around 15 hours on each, only to give up on them. And those JRPGs are: Dragon Ques...
Aside from MGS1 it seems all the games in the series are incredibly divisive. I've seen tons of people name MGS2 as the absolute worst in the series and most boring, some hated MGS3 for its lack of solaton radar and thought the stealth was sloppy, many hate MGS4 for too many wacky cutscenes and too many ridiculous twists, and many (including myself) hate MGS5 for its sparse story, soulless gameplay and poorly executed open world.

What Remains of Edith Finch Review
I have a great appreciation for speedrunning and respect those who push themselves and their games to heights nobody would've thought possible. But it's something I could never, ever see myself doing. I like taking my time through games and enjoying them with an air of discovery and mystery, rather than breaking them down to their base components and figuring out the optimal method of play.
