Put simply, you're at a disadvantage if you don't own the DLC. Even if you have zero interest in the DLC characters you would still do well to learn them. What's the first thing someone says if you're struggling against a certain character? "Try learning them yourself, go into practice mode against them and find something that works." If you don't buy them you can't do that.
Also, it's just another example of less content, higher price....
Incorrect. Lei and Anna are mainstay characters but are being locked behind PAID DLC, and any future returning characters will be the same. This is despite Harada previously saying that they wouldn't charge for Legacy characters. Yeah... Changed his tune real fast. Tekken 7 will also have TWO season passes and possibly even more to come.
