I guess that's fair enough. If the devs are able to take the criticism and better themselves that's a win for everyone.
I mean, considering Agony was torn apart by critics and gamers alike, I can't see people being all that up for another one...
Don't mind me. I'm just keeping a copy of this comment so I have a good, hard laugh once Stadia is reduced to ashes. :)
Judging a game for its graphics does not make a person shallow. Graphics are a large part of the game experience, and a new release looking far worse than its predecessor is a big deal.
You could just as well say music, sound design and story are meaningless and berate anyone for judging a game by those merits.
I thought Lords of Shadow was great, personally. Symphony of The Night might still be my favourite, and I'll always have a special place for Circle of The Moon, but to say the series has never made a successful jump to 3D isn't true at all IMO.
In my restless dreams,
I see that slot machine.
Yeah, I'm a fan of Vanillaware, really enjoyed Odin Sphere and Grimgrimoire, was excited for this but IMO it looks mediocre.

This shows an incredible amount of confidence.
Honestly, I thought the first Motorstorm was the least impressive of the bunch. Pacific Rift was by far the best, better track design, better vehicle balance, more to do, split screen... Honestly way better than the first game IMO.
Agreed. Metal Gear was my all-time favourite game franchise for over a decade, but everything after MGS4 was just oversaturation. Peace Walker was fine, but mostly redundant in terms of story. MGSV was simply a step too far. Just because something is great doesn't mean it needs to keep going and going for years and years. A fitting end should be just that, and a sign to move onto something new.
"But you, Billy, you're just a man. The world's scummiest man poses no more threat to me, than does its scummiest termite."
*Billy lifts phone above his head*
"What's that? Another ultimate weapon?"
"Old Billy Mitchell always has a plan."
*Presses button on phone, wiring money to Twin Galaxies. All monitors display his scores as the world record*
Relieve? Or relive?
Yeah it sounds like something Luigi would say.
"He wouldn't have killed himself if he didn't do anything wrong."
Well that has to be one of the stupidest, most brain-dead things I've ever read in my life.
@VegaMyster
I was in the same boat and completely agree! I didn't play Ground Zeroes until a week before Phantom Pain launched. Before this point I was rather skeptical about the route Metal Gear was going, wasn't sure how the open world approach would translate to the MG world. Ground Zeroes really impressed me. Great level design, a sense of freedom with multiple viable paths to the goal, enough guards to keep you on edge but not so many it feels oppressive. Then ...

I haven't played a CoD game since Modern Warfare 2. Simply lost interest in the series and never saw anything to make me change my mind.
The new Modern Warfare looks fantastic and might just be my ticket back into the series.
Do they NEED to have an offline mode? No... But it would definitely help. Devs might not have the resources to add such a thing if they're focusing on the online experience, but it's still something to think about.
I absolutely agree. The whole point was putting you in the shoes of the character having decided upon an extreme moral dilemma: killing innocent civilians in the hopes of saving millions more. And then the gut punch when you realise the Russians were onto you the entire time, and you just killed those people for nothing. Powerful stuff.
