I feel bad because I was bought it as a birthday present by my best buddy, didn't have the heart to tell him I didn't like it. It's actually a common trend of games he buys me without me asking. Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed Black Flag... "You've gotta play this mate, you'll love it!" And pretty much every time I don't. XD
I'm not excited for RDR2 but that's because I didn't like the first game. *Shrugs* Just not my cup of tea I'm afraid.
That would've made the reveal trailer all the funnier.
"Good. Show me what you know." *Steps out from shadows with big belly* "I am hungry."
What? Sony is just being Sony. Have you not paid attention for the last two decades?
Cancel it and wait it out. See whether this will affect pre-owned copies (i.e. If there are codes) Make a more educated decision after its release.
a) There's a chance they're doing this to lock Spyro 2+3 to new copies so people who buy pre-owned need to pay extra to play the full Trilogy.
B) A patch is not the same as 66% of the game. The vast majority of games can be played without a patch, albeit with a few bugs.
c) It seems extremely counter-intuitive to not include all 3 games on a blu-Ray disc that can easily contain the data for all 3 games.
So I'm guessing each copy comes with a code, and without it you'd need to pay for additional downloads?
Well, there goes my decision to buy it. Cheers, Activision. I'll stick to my PS1 originals. Tons of other games I can play instead.

So even black people shouldn't be able to use the N word? If it's exclusively used to offend (as per your logic) then all black people just need to stfu and adhere to your sensibilities, regardless of the way they use the word?
When I found out ex-Evolution devs were making this game I was very interested. I love the Motorstorm series and after Driveclub (which I hated) I liked how Onrush seemed to be going back to that style of arcade off-road. But what turned me off after watching tons of gameplay footage was... The track designs are so BORING. Just a big circle with wiiiiiiiide open spaces and the occasional rock, tree or ramp dotted occasionally. The whole racing emphasis is put on taking down opponents and dodg...
Now if they can JUST localise Dungeon Travelers 2-2 since we know there's a demand... (I can keep dreaming... DX)
There are several I've been super hyped for - spent nights thinking about them, poring over trailers and previews up until release - but I think the number one game I was excited for has to be the original LittleBigPlanet. Absolutely loved that game even though LBP2 eventually obliterated it in terms of content and quality. The opening cutscene with Stephen Fry's voice, the intro level where you take control of sack boy for the first time, playing through crazy levels online, getting ...
Yes, because when you want precision handling and tight controls it's best to play with a persistent and varying level of input lag.
Played this on the Vita, pretty decent game although the final dungeon was nerve-wracking beyond belief! D: I actually like it more than Shiren The Wanderer: Tower of Fortune.
I didn't realise Encore mode actually changed the levels around for a slightly different experience. That's awesome! All the more replay value! I currently have this Pre-ordered, so glad I skipped the digital version and just patiently waited.
It's a fine line to walk. Certain old-school mechanics are often looked at as "objectively bad" by certain gamers and seen as something to be eradicated, while for some fans that very thing might be one of the reasons they liked the game. Remember a while back when we saw tons of articles picking apart older horror games and saying stuff like "nobody wants to be getting lost in the dark looking for keys" with the pompous attitude of "you think you want that, but y...
I've just looked into the Blue Whale challenge and it has absolutely nothing to do with video games whatsoever. Literally nothing. The Blue Whale challenge is the name given to an online harassment campaign through social media sites to persuade vulnerable teens to commit acts of bodily mutilation and eventually commit suicide. What does that have to do with GTA?
Something similar, yeah, in the episode "Shut Up And Dance." One of my fave episodes, but it's all too creepy now that something like this is actually happening. :S
If cutting set-pieces would've made for a much more affordable budget then I would be all for it.
Aside from the story being lacklustre, I felt that it being open world was not only unnecessary but actually detracted from what was good about the game. Why is it open world if there's no reason to explore, no friendly NPCs to meet, just the same environments on repeat, no interesting sub missions, no real variety at all? You just do the missions, run a mile to where you need to go, get to a settlement that's not even well designed and pick up some guy who is apparently super importa...
1. Okay, that's a negative. But that scenario is highly unlikely, and you'd have more pressing issues than games if your house burned down.
2. That's a positive for physical! Parents have to deal with a misbehaving child who causes damage and thanks to physical media they can just sell it all to recoup some of the costs and punish the child in one fell swoop!
3. That one's on you.
