Reading these comments... -_-
Okay, if the game was centered around "the heroic LGBT squad who saved the world and took down Hitler" then sure, I can see issue with that as being weak SJW pandering. But a woman fights in a war and suddenly "OMG I want historical accuracy!" in a game series where WWI tanks can travel at 30mph and horses can sustain a hail of bullets without stumbling. I'm not convinced. Having female soldiers just adds a little variet...
I have to agree, Sony has had so many better E3s than this one. Loved TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima and Spiderman gameplay, but it was kind of awkward all around with banjo and flute solos that honestly I just wanted to be over with. Compare that with full orchestra playing GoW theme, the legendary Horizon and Last Guardian reveals and other Sony E3s, this one fell a little short IMO. Not bad by any means, but not great either.
But people on the Internet tell me that devs only need to snap their fingers to port a game to another system and money just falls into their lap. Are you telling me this isn't the case!? Shock and horror!
That aside, game looks good so hopefully it can come to Switch eventually.
I was a little put off by just how similar it looks to Nioh, but I'll still likely get it regardless. Upon a second viewing I can see all the Souls goodness is still there.
I guess I was just hoping to see the Soulslike formula used in a completely different setting. We've had medieval, victorian, feudal Japan, how about sci-fi fantasy, steampunk, ancient Egypt, wonderland-inspired, etc? I'd just love to see From Soft take a leap into something a bit more 'o...
I don't know why companies put out these teasers if there's nothing to show. Wouldn't it be better to hold your cards to your chest and then, when the time is right, put out a kick ass trailer with full gameplay demonstration to send people's hype skyrocketing.
But anyway, where do we think this one will take place? Black Marsh?
Their previous conference was absolutely masterful, lampooning the industry and press conferences in general with complete savagery.
I'm glad they're doing another one in the future. And the future's future! And the future of the future's future! And the future's future's future! etc
The only games that need addressing are asset flips, those which don't even function and those which implement blatantly false advertising.
Everything else? Fair game.
For me personally, I go through phases. Sometimes I'll be playing games on a constant basis and absolutely tearing through them, and thus I convince myself that I can buy a few more games without worry. But then for whatever reason I stop gaming for a while, and those games I bought have just replaced the ones I've beaten in my backlog. Also, many of the games I want are 40+ hour RPGs, and since I work full time it's difficult to fit in the time.
As for buying games new a...
From Software's new game should do it. Whether it's Bloodborne 2, Tenchu, Armored Core, Shadow Tower, King's Field or a new IP I'm sure it'll be a show-stealer.
They need to be able to demonstrate that their cloud computing method for dealing with advanced physics is a reality, not just a pipe dream. And I don't mean "yeah we got it running on this isolated setup" I mean in a large scale environment without network issues ruining the experience.
Yeah, exactly. No reason why you can't play through the game from start to finish and then go back through again, trying different things. The replay value will still be there.
I couldn't disagree more.
I know it's only a pipe dream but...
King's Field V please. :P
I can't believe I was so skeptical before I picked this game up. The first showing at E3 did not impress me and I was not hyped in the slightest. I was worried the combat would be wonky, the kid would be annoying, the story would make Kratos out of character...
I've never been so glad to be wrong. This game is a masterpiece.
"poor technical performance, repetitive combat and a lacklustre story."
*Gets a 7/10*
And people wonder why many don't take gaming sites seriously anymore...
Oh it's only tobasco...
Next time do a bottle of Psycho Juice or Satan's Sweat. XD (Actually maybe don't do that or your rear end would go through hell on earth)
At the mountain summit if you spell the word "BOY" in the snow Kratos shouts "BOOOOOYYYYYY!!!" and the entire mountain collapses.
"My real "line in the sand" is depicting the real-world God as evil, or demons (especially Satan) as not evil."
You'd better not read The Bible then.
I can understand why they removed it since the backlash was immense, but I see little difference between a game like this (at least in terms of subject matter) and something like GTA. Both are based around a crime that is rampant in the US and both allow you to murder to your heart's content in a way that would be possible in real life. I'm not saying I'd WANT to play a game about a school shooting, but I think if GTA, Manhunt, Yandere Sim etc have a right to exist this should too...
After watching the trailer the game went from being "Oh yeah, I heard about it, might be good I guess," to one of my most anticipated games. I never played TW3 because I didn't want to add another 100 hr RPG to my backlog but 2077 looks so damn good I think I may have to get it.
