I feel that way about sports games too, but at least they make more sense than a yearly wrestling game.
Well, it looks good, but I can't justify buying a console for the 4 or 5 games I'd actually get for it. I'd love to get a chance to play the game someday, though.
I don't get it. To me, this is on the same lines as amateurly remixing a game's music.. As long as you're not making a profit off of it, there's really no big deal. I really don't see where the copyright issues come into play in creating levels.
Nobody is making a profit off of these levels yet. As they said, maybe good user levels will be eligible for profit sometime down the line, but they could easily just make the levels with copyright material ineligible for that program.
...
Yeah, they'd never wipe the scores, but it would be amusing to watch all the achievement whores cry if they lost their score.
That's fine for you, but the developers need to make a profit off of their games. Nobody says you have to buy it new. This is just incentive to do so, and the people that support the developer by buying new deserve something for it.
That's the purpose of the multiplyer. It's hard to make any kind of shooter that doesn't get stale after the 10 hour mark. Multiplayer is the lasting appeal of games like this.
Hate to break it to you, but the pad is terrible on the diagonals like the article said. Try playing an old 2D fighting game with one and you'll see.
I don't know why console developers don't just go with the kind Nintendo has always stuck with. The simple cross design works perfectly.
Halo wasn't a letdown. Only the sequels were...
I love how many disagrees you get for saying MGS games may not always be exclusive.
I'm glad they brought this game to Xbox, because I'm always a one console per generation person. I've missed out on MGS 3 and 4 because of exclusivity. Regardless of how bad any fan might say it is, I still enjoyed the game.
Heck, I haven't ever heard of this mistake. I'm surprised a gamer knew it and actually bothered to look for it.
In my opinion, certain kinds of games don't require an epic story. How much story can you really fit into a game where you're a merc with a single goal? We don't need some insane, very unlikely story. What happens in FC2 is a very believable, realistic story. I think that's good enough for the context.
Indeed they are. All the people I've ever seen using these on CoD4 got crappy scores anyway, so I enjoy mocking them. Firing really fast doesn't do crap for you if you can't aim in the first place. I'm sure if any good players decide to use these, it could ruin a game on Gears.
Well, they're probably including ranking up everything in multiplayer too, so I'm sure it'll take the uberdorks about 2 weeks.
Eh, there's a lot of games you could say this about. Not talking down on the game or anything, but I think Sony is just hyping up their game some more.
If I had a PS3, I'd definitely get it, but I don't think I'd get 420 hours out of it. It's not the game, though. I'm just not a huge fan of more arcadey shooters. I'm a tactical shooter guy. For anyone that loves the series, I'm sure they'll get a metric crapton of time out of it.
In conclusion, I hate when compan...
Yeah, I hate getting chased down every time I don't feel like fighting or sneaking through an outpost. Also, is it just me, or do enemies have better accuracy when you're driving past in a car? You think you'd be harder to hit, but I take less damage when I'm standing in the open on foot.
Playing a PC from a couch takes some computer knowhow, which most people don't have.
Well, in terms if capabilities, the PC version will always be superior, but it tends to be a lot nicer playing games from a couch instead of a computer chair. That's where the consoles can shine.
Now maybe they can make up for screwing up Alone in the Dark.
It's going to be a simple situation. The small base of hardcore gamers with a Wii will go nuts over this game, and the rest of the casuals won't care at all. Hopefully, there's enough of those hardcores that the game will be a success. I'd hate to see such a great game flop.
I'll take aiming with a mouse over a remote any day. Aiming a remote at a TV is nothing like aiming a gun. Also, I don't think WiiMotion Plus is going to do a darn thing for the aiming. The aiming is about pointing at the screen, not waggling the remote.
