I'm pretty sure he was talking about the people that have always been Playstation faithfuls because of Final Fantasy. Besides, everyone knows PS3 has about 4 games! (I kid, I kid)
Downloading Blu-Ray size games would just be unreasonable. Installs on the PS3 are bad enough, but we're talking many hours of downloading for an average connection. Larger storage discs are the only direction console gaming is heading at the moment.
But if you guys haven't noticed, a single DVD still fits the majority of games without issues, so M$ is still in good shape for now.
Yeah, I've bought too many games this season so far. I'm done for a while, haha.
Yes, larger disc space does make things a little easier, but by no means is it a breaking factor in making a quality game.
I think Square needs to just go back to their roots and make a solid old school RPG. They're trying to innovate too much when they could go back to their old successes for inspiration. I don't think anyone would complain if they did that.
December 16 is my birthday, and I am a bad luck charm, so sorry PS3 owners, I doubt it's happening.
Seriously though, I'd really like to see this come out soon. I don't own a PS3 personally, but it really sucks to see anything take so long to release on any console.
In case you didn't get the memo, caps lock is not cruise control for cool.
Yeah, not only do ads add a slight sense of realism when properly placed, but they help fund the gaming industry. I can't complain when they're helping develop more games and not popping up right in my face and forcing me to look at them.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, haha. I remember when they didn't allow Epic to release the first Gears map pack for free at first. Such garbage...
I'd like to get it, but it all depends on the price in comparison to how much it adds to the game. I just hope they make it worth the money.
Actually, there was an article shortly after Wii Fit came out that said something like 70% of people in Japan stopped using it after 2 weeks. I'm not pulling this out of nowhere.
Also, don't forget this is only in Japan. I don't know about elsewhere in the world.
I'm still not convinced that Home is going to make a big impact in PS3 sales. With all the delays, it seems that interest is starting to fade away. I think a price cut would definitely do wonders to push consoles, though.
Well, if Sony managed to start with a lower price, they'd possibly be beating the 360, but I really don't think they'd have a ghost of a chance against Nintendo in terms of console sales. At least Sony pays attention to their hardcore crowd, though...
Well, I had money for either console, but I went with the 360 because of my gaming preferences. If I had more money to throw around, I'd definitely get a PS3 too. You, sir, have flawed logic.
Most PS3 fanboys don't want to acknowledge that their console is in third place, hence your disagrees.
But seriously, why care who's winning as long as good games keep coming out on both the 360 and PS3? We, the gamers, win when companies compete.
Even if the PS3 sells more than the 360 overall this year, they still have ground to make up due to the 360 launching a year earlier. At the rate it's going at the moment, the PS3 won't be catching up for a while. Sony really needs a price cut to push their console.
They certainly bought a ton of Wii Fit and then most of them just stopped playing it from what I remember. I think that's a sign...
I've always liked the few games that have you start to bleed out if you get hit badly and the only way to stop the health degeneration is to apply the bandage. Day of Defeat was like that until Valve acquired it. It's a nice touch of realism, but I suppose it didn't hit off very well with the masses.
I'd really like to see a new Bushido Blade. That game was sweet.
Yeah, I do agree that health bars still have their places, but in some online games, the regenerating health is much more fun and accessable. It all comes down to how the game is designed. Games like Team Fortress 2 are still amazing without regeneration, because Valve built the game with medics and plentiful health packs. In essence, it's similar to regenerating health since it's so easy to get health back, but it's your responsibility to make sure you get that health.
Basical...
Sales say 360 is still alive last time I looked, but it is indeed aging.
