I felt GTA4 was a lot more immersive than SA. I really didn't care at all about the story in SA, but GTA4 drew me in with its story.
Well, graphics don't guarantee good gameplay, but they're definitley a plus. People say the game is awesome from the beta. Let's just hope it's not repetetive. Repetition kills a lot of games.
Yeah, PC is what this series was designed for. The console ports were just afterthoughts trying to take advantage of the console market.
Yup, and these people will just want to stick with the Wii forever. They won't feel the need to upgrade to Nintendo's next console. They're perfectly happy with their Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Wii Fit.
Yeah, it's sad to see so few good games for the system. The DS just walks all over it. So much wasted potential.
Yeah, estimates kinda do suck. I wish the respective companies would just release some numbers so we know how their games are doing. Microsoft loves to throw out numbers about their exclusives, but Sony doesn't seem to at all.

I feel that GTA4 beats SA on the first playthrough, but after the first playthrough of GTA4, there's really nothing left. SA wins in the replay department.
Yup, game looks amazing so far. Haters will be owned hopefully. I'm a tad doubtful because of the first game (which wasn't bad mind you, just not as good as it was hyped to be), but from what I've seen so far, I'm sure it'll be miles better than the first. You just never know until it's released, though.

Lost Odyssey wasn't really a bad game, but not having played WKC, I have no idea which is actually better. Famitsu still fails, though.
I'll Gears 2 one thing. Its story is definitely a lot more interesting than the first game's. I think that's about all the story you need in such a game. Games like MGS4 have a lot more room for story, because the characters aren't just brutish soldiers, and Kojima definitely knows how to take advantage of that.
Yeah, I was also wondering why Crysis Warhead didn't get any attention. PC games tend to not get so much love these days.
MGS4 won at VGA because everybody has their own opinion. Just because it wins on a big televised event doesn't mean it has to win everywhere.
I think the problem with MGS4's story is it's pretty mature and a tad confusing at times. That might be why it didn't get any love. Just a guess, though. I personally love such stories, but lots of people don't.
Gears really does still have a high standard of graphics, even with its older engine. I can see why it won.
Valkyria Chronicles had the best graphics in my eyes, though. I love the style in that game. Games like that make me wish I had money to throw out for a PS3.
Sony being in last place in the console war doesn't mean they're failing. Yeah, maybe Nintendo is succeeding more than them, but if they're doing well enough to keep bringing out the consoles, they're doing fine.
Plus, Blu-Ray isn't failing. DVD was the same way when it first arrived. It'll catch on more as the years go on and prices come down.

Yeah, since both consoles have a great selection of games now, price is just about the only thing holding the PS3 back.
Better online service might help the PS3, but it is free after all, so that in itself makes it equal to Live in my eyes(some might argue PSN is better due to it being free and just about as good, but I very much enjoy my cross-game chat). You get what you pay for in that sense. More features = more money out of your pocket in Live's case.

But seriously, Star Ocean games have been around for a long time, and they're pretty popular to boot. I haven't tried any myself, but they do look pretty fun from what I've seen. I just never have the right console to play them.
Well, gameplay footage alone can't tell you everything about a game. I must say KZ2 looks very very promising, but KZ1 also did. You just gotta have faith in the developer until you see the final build.
