Glad some of you mentioned spoilers, because I haven't watched the trailer yet. Just hearing Ada's in the game spoiled enough for me already.
From the way I understand it, Chris's game looks more action-oriented, while Leon's will retain that "horror" feel. I say more power to it, give the best of both worlds!
Didn't do a very good job of hinting at that.
I could have sworn it was K-I-N-E-C-T Star Wars. I must be out of the loop, because, apparently, Sony now owns it now. XD
OT: I bought the game with the system last week, and once I'm done with ME3, I'll give it a spin. I've often found immense fun in games many people deem "bad".
The 360 didn't sell the most to consumers last year. They shipped more, but the way I understand it, the PS3 sold more to consumers. Only source to go by in such a case is VG Chartz. Take that for what you will, but I don't know a more credible source.
OT: Perhaps he means the US / UK, because everywhere else, the PS3 sells more than the Wii and 360 weekly.
You get disagrees for more than just your usual off-topic remarks about Sony products in unrelated articles. I agree that jaggies don't prove HD/sub-HD, but if you're going to sport the word "logic" in your name, try to use it without such a condescending / defensive attitude.
OT: I'm liking what I'm hearing. I hope they push the system as to go beyond what's already been done (Gears of War 3 being the best recent example of what the 360 can do)....
Agree as well.
What other studio is in the state that Zipper was in? Have to know all the variables before any conclusions can be drawn.
As I've been saying, people worry too much. Sony knows what they're doing, and if Zipper wasn't making the company any money, the best choice is to disband the team and move on.
There's still the possibility of other acquisitions, such as Quantic Dream. Though, again, too many unknowns at the moment - but from where I'm...
Neither the 360 nor PS3 versions of Silent Hill 3 contain the original voices. Also, there were fog effects downsized from both titles, as well as major frame-rate and lag issues on PS3.
Visually, SH2 was noticeably sharper on PS3, but either way it's sliced, this Collection has more problems than it should.
Yeah, when they are closing 3+ non-profitable studios at once (if there are even that many that DON'T rake in profit), then it's time to worry. Right now, they are in a restructuring phase, hardly a cause for major concern.
Thus, people need to stop making things bigger than they are.
+1 respect to you sir.
Haze actually wasn't broken (had little to no game-breaking bugs, glitches, or hitches) not to mention a smooth frame-rate. It just looked poor, had a forgettable story (albeit - I liked the concept)/multi-player, gameplay really didn't stand out, and it received more hype than it could deliver on. Still, I'd give it anywhere from a 6 or 6.5/10 - it wasn't horrible.
OT: Where is the original Two Worlds? That sits at the top of the chain for the current gen to ...
I'm usually against much of what Destructoid has to say - but this time, they are spot on! The HD Collection breaks more than it corrects and is, by far, the worst Konami has put out in the series.
So? Many games have "suffered" as a result of the 360 using DVDs. Doesn't change the fact that developers have to adapt to the architecture in front of them - or leave the job to a more suitable company. It's that simple. You think next-gen consoles won't have some sort of feature (or lack thereof) that won't be an issue? It's nothing new.
The PS3 isn't the issue, the developers are. Little memory is nothing new (just like the 360 having to run its games on an outdated device like DVD is nothing new), but how many devs have had no problems releasing a complete, quality title that weren't tied to a specific brand exclusively? Answer: plenty.
The issue is Konami, not the system.
Nah, AMY has it beat, but it's definitely one of them according to reviewers.
Shame, I had high hopes for it not too long ago.
Uncharted doesn't have texture issues at all (in fact, on console, Crysis 2 had more issues than both Gears 3 and Uncharted 3). Second, while Crysis 2 won a fair amount of rewards for its graphics on consoles at the time of launch, nearly every reviewer said Uncharted 3 holds the graphics crown at this point (go have a read again).
Crysis 2 had some serious issues - such as screen tearing, framerate drops, and LOTS of texture pop-in (all problems Uncharted 3 didn't ha...
If Cage had no history of bringing new concepts/experiences to the table, this would make more sense.
That's exactly why he DOESN'T apply his innovations to an established genre, and I'm thankful that he doesn't. He wants to create new experiences, we need more of that.
The question isn't whether or not Kara will rewrite the rules, but rather will something like Kara open up new possibilities in the industry. The answer is yes.
Define what a gamer like you is. I play mostly stuff that would be considered "core" and I picked up SW Kinect.
Also, not sure how this game selling 400k+ has anything to do with Sony's marketing vs Microsoft's.
