Plenty of PS3 versions that are better. Nothing new.
Define "the masses".
OT: I don't know what this multi-player will do, but as others have mentioned, as long as the SP isn't affected, more power to it!
I had the same concerns earlier, but I prefer to give the team a chance. Things have to evolve over time, and while I disagree that God of War "had no replay value" before God of War: Ascension, this should add to an already solid franchise!
Funny, people think CoD came up with most of its elements on its own. It too is an expansion of previously successful ideas.
This is always the first sign of a poor sport - when you can't give credit where it's due. Fortunately for you, there's nothing to lose here, only gain, because if you value gaming, you'll value when the companies that keep gaming chugging along perform well.
OT: Doesn't surprise me, to be frank. The PlayStation brand has always been strong in this region, and despite the PS3's early missteps, it's found its footing over there.
I'm curious, where can you get a $150, 240hz, EDGE Lit LED, 3D monitor?
OT: I have two of these babies, and I love them, but my next purchase is the ViewSonic V3D245 LED Backlit 3D Monitor.
This was my first thought.
You can pick it up, at least in the States, for $39.99
Not that far in and we already have off-topic and /or flame-bait posts. Madness.
Anyway, if this is true, and hits the States soon, I will pick it up. Was easily my 2011 Game Of The Year!
And that single, lonely bubble there speaks for itself. :)
When has Naughty Dog made a sub HD games marred by anything? Never mind, I don't expect a reasonable response.
Agreed. I remember watching the interview with Evan Wells talking about how terrified he was wen he saw Uncharted 3's release date pop up on the screen at the 2010 VGAs. I prefer them not to rush this - especially as a new IP, and release it when it's ready.
"Your opinion" is absolutely right. Refute even one of my claims besides the typical response from a person with a flimsy argument and we'll go from there.
The Last Of Us will be out before Dec 2013, so I doubt this will take "years". And nothing has been announced since the release of GT5 years in advance.
Besides, it's not "false advertising" when The Last Of Us has been given no release date. You'd have to show what was "false" about it - and delays are not false advertising either. They've also not ever announced a game 8 years in advance - GT5 had a five year dev cycle, The Last Gua...
You're grasping at straws here. You asked what does Sony give you for free, you got several, valid answers.
Well, you play online for free, for starters. No doubt if you pay for PS Plus, you're still using money on something. But the rewards are free full games, early access to betas / demos, and reduced prices on many other things like themes, avatars, and DLC. To your PSN "debacle" comment: some games were already available before the blackout - so even that isn't really true.
Bottom line, if you honestly use PSN, you should know what you get for free.
...
Hmmm...well, according to VGC, the original sold over 2 million between the PS3 and 360. Unless all of those fans (or most of them, anyway) have vanished, it should be able to crack 500k without too much trouble by Jan 2013.
@ THILL: Sure, but "some" gamers on one forum are not "all" gamers that played inFAMOUS 2. I knew MANY people that thought the sequel was much better than the first one. That doesn't mean everyone felt that way.
When I think mixed impression, I think half liked it while half didn't (or had some glaring issue with it). inFAMOUS 2 doesn't appear to be in that situation and there's no way to argue it outside of what is documented, which means ...
Or it could be that people ACTUALLY enjoyed it and you aren't as accurate as you'd like to believe.
OT: Between the two originals, I call it a tie because I enjoyed the game-play of [PROTOTYPE] more, while inFAMOUS's story and main character were more appealing to me.
With [PROTOTYPE 2], I'm expecting to have a blast all over again, despite the comparisons to inFAMOUS. The article also claims that inFAMOUS 2 received "mixed impressions&qu...
Something tells me you aren't honestly excited for The Last Of Us like you claim (given your known Naughty Dog / Uncharted negativity).
OT: I need to check this one out.
