Steam does it, Gog has no Drm, PlayStation has a limit of two consoles active per account so you can share an account with a friend or use it for two consoles, you can log your Xbox account on another console and play your games as long as your account is signed. I wish I could have some of these options on my Nintendo consoles, I have two 3DS that could benefit from this kind of thing but I guess I'm entitled, I'm a horrible gamer!
As I said, that is not my opinion of what they should do, you asked why they didn't became a software only company, even if its temporary and I replied with something they've said multiple times before in different interviews, they feel that their games and IPs have a special value and they don't want to dilute that value. Iwata said to a shareholder once that "they're interested to be profitable in the long run" something in the line of keeping profitability and max...
It may generate revenue but it will also weaken the hardware brand, if they go full on third party it will migrate some of their really diehard fans that doesn't buy other consoles to other platforms and everyone will expect to have their games on these platforms and will see no need for a Nintendo branded console in the long run and when Nintendo decides to go back exclusively to its own consoles most people might not like to support this 'cause they might've gone used to having ...
It makes me really curious to see their take on this issue if this is the direction they're going. Technologically speaking it's obviously a superior medium but it isn't as cheap as discs when looking at high capacity cards and the difference might be significant for 50Gb games, even when buying in bulk I imagine it still doesn't compare to the manufacturing cost of discs. We still don't know what this is but that little patent generated quite a spark ^^
She got you good this time Mr. H XD, I don't remember if you reviewed the NES version of Captain Comic by the way, I know you did the PC original, but I can't... dammit, I'm old as heck as well!
If they offer flash cards with similar memory capacity as BDs while not having an impact on games prices then it will be an excellent distribution media.
Nvidia is far overpriced father, but still gives me better results and in some games additional effects. Nothing wrong having an Amd card though.
Count me in.
Yeah, besides the space setting, what about the missions, the plethora of options for managing your fighter and the many different kind of ships present in the game, nope, this doesn't remind me one bit about XvT, dog fighting isn't the only thing that gave the series it's identity, you can say that for Rogue Squadron or Starfighter that were more focused on combat and action set pieces.
It's not entitlement, you can express your opinion about expecting the same value for your money as other major platforms, I wish them to do better and offer me a similar treatment, I'm so mean right?
You are "mostly" wrong and let me tell you why, we don't know what will happen at this stage with legacy PS1 and PS2 games on the PS4 but every downloadable game I had on the PS3 that was ported to the PS4 I have it free of charge and some of them are even remastered like "Journey" and "Flower", I didn't had to pay an extra dime for those so excuse me for not getting down on nintendo for charging me 1-1.50$ for my old purchases of old games but I'm su...
I had to wait a year and a half for a transfer solution (The July 2014 update) for my Wii VC games to my Wii U and still have to fire up the Wii mode for those games, the transfer required the Wii console so that means the games are locked to my hardware. It doesn't matter if I have an account on Nintendo Network if I don't have some control over my own content. I've two PS3 consoles, but have my account and I didn't need the first console for accessing my content, even my PS3...
This sounds like a solution for having a gaming desktop mode with laptops, you can hook your laptop to this baby and presto! Seems like a nice concept.
Thanks for the update, I always thought AMD Brute forced it's way to stand against nvidia smooth balance and optimisation, like GTX cards has better architecture and that is why AMD cards had to go big with memory bus and other stuff that lead to higher tdp but all these just gave similar results. I just wish they could do better for the sake of a healthier market.
An every gaming icon can come back from the dead, it just need good care and a new hit.
I like how nvidia releases fixes and optimises drivers for specific games at a regular basis plus some game franchises that I like get some extra flair with PhysX and Gameworks, but nvidia's pricing is awful when compared to AMD which offers beefier hardware at better prices, I'm not a fanboy so I don't feel the need to defend a company as I'm paying for my stuff, I'm an nvidia user as I have a GTX card for the reasons mentioned above but I wish that AMD will push for a so...
Last time I checked this was a gaming related site, people can express which platform they prefer and some will be interested to know why and discuss. Why are you clicking on articles that you don't care about if it bothers you so much?
Beaks Tomb Raider was multiplat from the start, it was first published on Sega Saturn so no way she could've been Sony's mascot, also every entry of tomb raider was on PC and each one of the original trilogy had an expansion only found on this platform. Maybe Crash could've been and it kind of was the unofficial mascot but... it was Universal Studios Property at the end of the day, and that was truly a shame, I miss the old Crash.
I enjoy GR a lot but this review didn't clicked with me, I'm not a fan of the game, is just that the article didn't seem to be fair or accurate enough, it's just pointing out dated mechanics in an HD port of a regular platform game form the PS2 era, to resume the article, let's say some of this stuff and rant a little about how big budgets remakes of classic games put this little game to shame and point out that the cartoon characters are like racist stereotypes, put the l...
Is another usb dongle that allows you to use unsupported headsets, you can also split the audio to other devices and also record the audio or you can mimic a headset with a laptop for example and use it for chat, weird I know, but you can do it if you want to.
