I didn't mentioned any specs, I was talking about features, you wrote "the Gamecube was ahead of its time" you didn't mentioned anything specific about the library although I agree with you that its an amazing catalogue with a lot of exclusive tittles that became instant classics (I've two gamecube units for a reason plus the Wii with backward compatibility XD). Like Resident Evil Re-pasteurized have proved, there is a market willing to embrace these classics done right ...
I'm also a fan of the gamecube but it wasn't ahead of anything, it had those mini-dvd that lacked storage so the quality of CG videos and some assets (audio and textures) had to be heavily compressed in some cases, the controller (I love the GC controller but it has its flaws) should've had the Z1-2 buttons plus a more confortable C-stick, it only offered analoge audio (the PS2 and the Xbox both had digital audio compatibility) it lacked the media capabilities of it peers, the onl...
Super Pippin 3D?
I stand with your comment, most of my friends had issues with their 360s and two of them even replaced their boxes 3 times as you described (until it went through some revisions, the 360 hardware was a gamble), my oldest sister has the first Ipad running as new and the unit was preowned by my younger brother (the bane of electronics). Though for the thread, I don't believe tablets will replace consoles anytime soon, even if tablets suddenly become more powerfull than the actual consoles n...
lol I guess he makes a buck out of that mountain of advertisement in those clickbait articles they're actually known for.

Gosh these is my last comment, the bubble system is awfull, this is my last input on this thread, play nice fellow gamers, gaming ftw ;)

Almost everyone I know has a desktop PC at home, so taking that in to consideration you can cannibalized your old PC adding these components:
Motherboard: Gigabyte AM3+ AMD DDR3 1333 760G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX
price: 50- 60$
CPU: AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core 3.5 to 4.1 GHZ Processor Black Edition (comes with heatsink)
price: 99$
Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB GDDR5 Price: 220$ or the new GTX 960 for 200$
8GB ...
I do want to know the outcome of comparisons 'cause on rare occasions portable or console versions have something better than on PC like the 3d effect of shovel knigth on the 3ds or the gamepad features of Rayman Legends on the WiiU, graphical prowess is not the only characteristic that multi-platform user take in consideration, but lately I've been playing mostly on PC and Wii U as I've finished the only 2 exclusives I was interested on PS4 (Second Son and Last of Us Remastered) ...
The developers struggle for reaching 1080p and mostly settle for 900p on the xbone and you still cling to this crazy idea of 4k gaming on the current console gen, maybe with an indie game in the vein of pixel junk shooter or limbo but you shouldn't hold your breath.
Cool, keep it up! raid another developer studio XD
Yeah, that MGS4 is a tough cookie as every other game in the series can be emulated, well at least PC gamers can say that the series is going back to its roots being a PC game and all.

JUst FYI
I do think PS4 will have a lot more games than the Xbone but there are some avoidable double standards as the same rules that are applied to an xbone fan list should be applied to PS4 fan list, as for example when some guy call an xbox game like titanfall hardly exclusive because is also on PC or a remastered game. I don't consider these games exclusives by adhering to these rules:
No man sky is a timed exclusive
Eve Valkyrie will be on PC
Ratchet and Clan...
Sometimes I've been forced to take on a hiatus by some circumstances but I always try to have a little piece of the gaming pie in my life. I've an old tv that's usually hooked up to a Snes besides a closet with my old retro consoles, from this gen, I've 2 gaming PCs and all the main consoles except the Xbox One (I'm planning on buying that one next year, I went for the PS4 first because of Infamous and my PS+ subscription) I also have the portables and I usually play those...
@PONTIAC I remember reading not a few years ago how two more lines of resolution on ghostbusters and/or extra foliage on red dead redemption had people touting the "superior version" of those games in xb0x360 vs PS3 debates because extra features or better performance, no matter how small, are measurable details for identifying wich is the better version of a game even though that doesn't automatically makes the other "inferior version" any less desirable for those wit...
Well I enjoyed Zombie U and Rayman Legends on the Wii U so I'll miss them on this front, they just f***ed up on ports.
@ABizzel1 Thanks for the heads up! I guess I'll stay on the fence for a while longer as the game seems to be in need for a little more work, it doesn't sound that bad thought but they should've known better with all the expectations they raised with the PR/Hype campaign.
@Watercooler comment, ROLF NO!! PC people use both types of memory cause latency and memory clockspeed is important for streamlined data (like short burst of compute blocks) and for parallel data (big data blocks that need threaded work, read and write at the same time) a big bandwith pipeline does the job better, DDR3 is not always cheaper 'cause modules capable of handling really high clocks (something GDDR5 is limited for its 1 volt Cap) you'll see that the price is not always righ...
@Starchild what are your specs? are you maxing out the game configurations? I'm asking because I'm interested in the game but seen that many people are reporting many issues I decided to wait for it to be patched but I guess that the game can be adjusted to run alright.
@Sgt_Slaughter
Rare has lots of talents left with them like Gregg Mayles (the current creative director btw) lead designer of Banjo-kazooie and Director of Banjo-Tooie, he also was one of the people responsible for Didi Kong design,he started to work at RARE in 1989 and has seen the development of earlier titles like Battletoads, he also was the designer of the Donkey Kong Country Series. Leigh Loveday, who wrote the script of the DKC games and Blast Corps is still there. Lea...
