What's wrong with it being a powerfull handheld with a tv dock? Switch's power is not an issue for me, is a great handheld-tablet with a good enough console side. Switch is cool, at least for me, it has SOME FLAWS but I do hope they can iron out those. In my case, I'll wait for a price reduction or a good bundle because those flaws keep me on the fence but if the games are there before that happens I could change my mind.
About the new online fee subscription, b...
I tottaly agree, Moonman. This pay to play plan, at least for me, is a big deal. I base my opinion on what I have seen so far from Nintendo's online vision before the Switch and some of the earlier reports of their new plans.
I tolerate paying for PSN because they offer games for PS3, PS4 and VITA. I've been a ps+ subscriber since the very first day because of the "free games" and discounts, that was the original program, the thing I signed for, I do not a...
And the Euro cover isn't bad, it has its charm. Its just that the US box is cooler and edgier.
Yes, you're right Nate (I loved resistance btw XD) but there are exceptions, in this case, Skyrim and Fallout 4 for Xbox one can be heavily modded, if Metroid freak is interested in Skyrim mods in console then that is the way to go, great mods like Falksar are available for the console, new npcs, weapons, music tracks, sounds, etc https://gamerant.com/skyrim... it's a shame that Bethesd...
I don't think the Switch version could be heavily modded or if it will have mod support at all, only if the Switch has more than 4GB of Ram and Nintendo is open to allow user generated content. If you want Skyrim with mods "for consoles" and you have both, the Ps4 and the Xbox one, go for the Xbox One version, at the moment it has better mod support because it has more access to the system ram (5gb against 1gb) plus you can also mod assets like scripts, textures and sound files ...
Switched-off until further notice, maybe with a 250$ price tag and a bundled game (given that I still have to fork some extra money for a big memory card) or later down the road with the inevitable revised version, I hope it has a bigger battery or better battery life by then. My Wii U will carry the Zelda torch and tend to my Mario kart needs for now.
Cool cards for the money, great for news for HTPCs builds!
Why? Disc tech advantage is that is cheaper per GB but that's it, ROM and flash tech is superior in every other way, it's feasible to manufacture cardtriges with 30 - 60GB way under 3$ mark with Mask ROM or Flash, I know its not pennies like plastic discs but it's feasible, it's much better for the console in the long run, more longevity, better thermal management, more smaller nd lighter console, cheaper to manufacture and ship, etc.
Color me interested!
OtakuDJK1NG-Rory and Beaks, you guys are overly fanatical in a bad way, this project wasn't profiting in anyway and could've been beneficial to Nintendo, some people could've bought the original out of curiosity thanks to the fan remake, this is bad corporate beheivor, no questions asked, the guy wasn't doing any harm to the brand. The PC crowd is used to seeing this kind of games, mods and updates and most developers doesn't see them as something bad and there are times w...
HDMI gives better audio, if it helps with getting the price down it won't be missed, most receivers have HDMI ports nowdays, you can also bypass the audio through the tv optical port if you need that for an old receiver.
That is just a crazy rumor, There won't be that much of a power upgrade and that specs would be expensive as heck on a console, and remember that these are APUs we're talking about, PS4 APU is already a feat and they had to give in some CPU power to to push the GPU part and make it "affordable and reliable". Something in line of those rumored specs will need a better cooling solution and more power draw, that rumor is just BS, PS4k will probably be just a PS4 with UHD playba...
I hope they don't exclude the Vita from the program, it keeps my portable healthy and rolling without breaking the bank, my 3DS hasn't seen so much action lately, but with a similar program, things could improve. Thinking about it, Nintendo could've some of the greatest PsPlus-like program with "classics" alone but I guess there is more to gain by nickel and diming those old ninty games.
I read the article where Sony's VP said they were interested in the possibility of supporting PC with the PSVR, is not set in stone but that was the last push for me, so I budge and got an core pre-order on amazon, what is not to like in one set that could work in two platforms that I love. I hope nothing but good times! Good luck guys!
Both of you are right plus some strained relationships with some third parties 'cause of old policies and stunts, the suits of the old guard were really hardcore.
Nop, I didn't.
In the Hayter vs Kojima situation I side with Hayter, the guy always showed his passion for the role (even when sometimes he over delivered) and if it wasn't for him, Kojima would have switched the actors every time, he didn't showed any respect for the american voice actors work (Hayter even took a pay cut so the original metal gear solid actors could reprise their role on one occasion) but the japanese actors repraised their roles without a flinch of the guy, that is not cool.
I agree with Perjoss, not having to hook up must of my retro consoles for playing a game "I already own" is convenient, and I've enough controllers lying around in my living room having a PC-Wii U-PS4 combo on it, I even turn on my Wii U just so my Wii controllers can register the sensor bar while playing a Wii game in the dolphin emulator 'cause the games look awesome on it XD.
If he has the game he's not pirating, it's his game, he can throw it like a frisbee is he like but I do think is a little soon for releasing an emulator 'cause not everybody is going to use it responsibly but we shouldn't be to quick to judge someone, I use emulation when I've the software but I'm guilty of playing retro games that were not released in my region and are not available commercially, like terranigma (what a great game).
HDMI can do bitstream, its better than S/PDIF as it has more bandwith for audio.
