"Swear brand loyalty"?? uh, no.
We'll play on any and every platform. It's about the games, not the brands.
You want people to comment on your page -don't make it so goddamned difficult by forcing them to enable cookies and so many scripts. I was about to say f*ck it after the fifth attempt in a 3rd browser.
Wow, for all my savvy, I didn't even know that hurdle had been (sort of) crossed.
I wish they would just release the OS as a stand-alone product, since outside of the design aesthetic, there really is no real difference in the hardware anymore... but why would they when they're getting away with charging twice as much for it.
Thank you for the heads-up.
It's not possible to compile a list of the "best video game soundtracks of all time" and not include a single one of genius Akira Yamaoka's Silent Hill scores. Every one of them is a masterpiece. Shame on you.
Yes, I read the article.
You would still be playing the same game repeatedly with slight variation just to see different endings.
"2-3 hour play-time"
So this will be a $10-$15 game?
I really don't like the way the guy is selling this like it's a good thing.
"...and it’s certainly a game you can easily fit in between the latest 30+ hour experiences."
In other words, just keep playing the game over and over til you feel like you've gotten your money's worth.
Apple has a long history of doing this.
I was a big fan of their computers and owned several during the 1990's and 2000's, but the changeover from OS9.2 to OSX wiped out most of my game collection into obsolescence, except the few that ran well in "classic" mode.
When they did it to me yet again with the switch from PowerPC architecture to Intel, I said f*ck it and abandoned the apple pc, said my goodbyes to OSX and just started building my own windows base...
The apple executives have clearly gone insane with rabid greed.
Also, ANYONE who's willing to spend $1000+ on A PHONE is a complete retard. You'll only encourage these ravenous f*cks to charge $2000 for the next one.
At what point do you say "enough is enough"?
I sincerely hope that apple trip themselves up and fall face first with this one.
Skip it. It's yet another one-title-per-page list from clickvulture.
The completely deceptive and dishonest use of the term "campaign" = a deliberate effort to scam a cross section of gamers into buying a product they don't want. Do Polyphony and Sony really want a big chunk of their fans/audience to feel like they've been ripped off?
In the gaming industry, the word "campaign" has a long established and generally understood connotation.
By pretending that training missions constitute a campaign...
I have a vast array of Ubi titles on my shelves, but if they keep pursuing this always online/games-as-a-service model, I will have a very difficult time giving a sh*t what happens to them as a company in the future.
"weak" ...pffft.
I generally dislike digital downloads, especially for AAA games, so I almost exclusively buy hard copies if they are available on disc without an always online requirement.
That being said, I've still managed to almost completely fill my 2TB HD with over 130 digitally downloaded current gen games (not even including PS Plus games, PS2 games, demos or the half-dozen installed games). I've got another 85 games on my shelf with a PS...
Me too. I think it's a brilliant idea and I really hope Sony takes notice.
When LightBox split up Starhawk's multiplayer and campaign into separate downloads on the PS3, I was hoping that all big games would start to follow suit.
Yeah, religious people -ANY religious people creep me out.
Thank you for putting it all on one page.
I completely agree.
I too have been gaming since the early seventies (born in the 1960's) and every generation has ALWAYS been better than the last. Next gen will of course be even better.
Now has always been the best time to be a gamer.
The current gen is the best generation.
It has always been and will always be the best generation. Past generations have always been and will always be lesser predecessors. By definition.
It's called evolution.
If you don't think so, your rose coloured nostalgia spectacles are impeding you from appreciating the fact that at any current moment, NOW is as good as gaming has ever been.
Non-story. Game developers working on unspecified game!
That's very specific.
I'm sure we could find a reason give every game or everybody a Guinness.
mmmm... Guinness...
see, there -I get one for most easily distracted.
It's a dumb movie with some good cgi effects but the real reason to watch the film is the gorgeous Sofia Boutella.
