I agree 100% with every aspect of the article. Games are to be experienced -not "beaten"... unless of course you're the personality type that can only approach them competitively. Have at it, but don't deride my way of enjoying them.
And don't go pretending to know what a developer's intentions were for a game. The more people who buy, play and enjoy ANY dev's creation; the happier they and their publisher are.
...spread out across ten pages.
So, corporations pit fools against each other, fostering a competitive drive to produce better products and ultimately, the biggest beneficiaries are those that chose to enjoy the best of all worlds, without having to engage in petty manipulated plebeian rivalries. Excellent.
If you're short-sighted enough to have picked a side, you miss out on half the fun.
Pretty sure it'll take me quite a bit longer than even that to play through.
In every one of the five Naughty Dog games I've played, I spent a great deal of the time just wandering around absorbing the atmosphere and taking in all the incredibly rich environments.
"It is set in Montana, a locale neither far off nor exotic"
Well, considering that the u.s. accounts for only 4.35% of the world's population, montana IS far off and exotic to more than 95% of the population the game will be marketed and sold to globally.
Also, especially considering that the game is not even made in the u.s., crazy right wing christians are perfectly fair game as villians as any others in the series. They are equally as dis...
Oops... him not "her". Sorry.
I think it might also be bad for Playstation gamers as well if Sony decides to slack off because of dissipating competitive market pressure.
I want the Xbox to do well BECAUSE I prefer the Playstation.
Yeah the spoilers really pissed me off.
Perhaps the author would be appeased if Ninja Theory built a game specifically around her experience tailored just for her... or maybe they should just go with "crazy" for the sequel.

I agree.
I love the phenomenal attention to detail in the game but getting killed by a boss thug with a few shots AFTER already having fired literally hundreds of rounds into them sucks all that realism out of the game.
Lol!
"Grinding Gear Games" is not very subtle.
Seek therapy.
The moment you realize that endlessly grinding for ever diminishing returns of slightly incremental virtual loot has become a waste of precious life.
I hope there is. They do need to clarify though, because the preview did more to hurt the game than help it.
Again, no release date mentioned. "second half of 2018" is NOT a release date.
No release date mentioned. "Spring 2018" is NOT a release date.
No release date mentioned. "Early 2018" is NOT a release date.
Agreed.
I wouldn't even consider half of the games on the list.
Completely subjective.
The "campaign" is a lie. It's training, nothing more. The dishonest use of "campaign" is really starting to become a problem in the gaming industry. Pissing gamers/buyers off does not serve long term interests.
Damn! I'm out. What the hell is wrong with Ubisoft? I was looking forward to this one. The E3 trailer looked awesome.
Drunk or stroke?
