Me neither. Never.
Is this a N.A. thing or u.s. only? WTF?
Well, I did my part. I've been purchasing one game per year from Housemarque since 2010. Even bought Dead Nation twice (PS3/PS4).
The addition of platforming to the gameplay mix made Matterfall a little bit too chaotic to be of interest to me.
Looking forward to seeing what they do in another genre.
I love the brooding minimalist soundtracks of Limbo and Deadlight. I listen to them pretty regularly on my ipod as i go about my day.
Gustavo Santaolalla's soundtracks for The Last Of Us and The Last Of Us: Left Behind are really beautiful too.
The games in question are designed for adults and that SHOULD be the end of the discussion.
lol. Yeah, I thought bobble head as well... or maybe Lord Helmet from Spaceballs.
There was. There is. It's the first GT game I won't be buying, for exactly that reason.
The Wolfenstein patch is 5.417GB and updates the game to version 1.01 bringing “various optimisations and bug fixes”.
I just re-read this article and realised I must have missed "before the game can be played online" the first time I skimmed it.
The article says that a patch is required for online gameplay. There's no mention regarding patch size.
I hope it's simply because of the date, because I've got a real problem with any company that will deliberately break a product before they sell it to you. I game on consoles to AVOID DRM bullshit.
It seems every game has a day one patch. Kinda makes me think it's deliberate.
I love Machine Games but as soon as I heard that Wolfenstein had a 5 gig day one patch, I decided that I'm waiting til they sort their shit out and can sell me a final full fin...
Agreed.
I actually think that the short lifespan of so many of the current glut of multiplayer games will cause a bit of a backlash. Developers and publishers might start to regard them as the riskier endeavor.
A little late to the party, no?
That's a virtually abstract equivocation when it comes to our everyday lives. We don't make more money than americans and the prices NEVER tip in our favour when our dollar has more so-called value than theirs. Games cost us 20-30% more. It's the same for almost all media across the board.
My girlfriend and I are both dedicated gamers, so we spend a lot of money on games every month, but since the prices skyrocketed, we also either wait for sales or buy used. By gouging, ...
At $90 with tax here in Canada... YES, without question they are overpriced. "Deluxe" editions with a few crappy skins can run $130 - $140.
No one said they're dead. The fear is that with big publishers' current focus on multiplayer, we might be starting down the path to single-player extinction. Hopefully the success of (fantastic) games like Horizon can stave off any kind of drought.
I'm just surprised twinfinite didn't find a way to make you click through 5 pages to find out.
I third this. Motion passed.
??? wtf
Jesus what a sleazy looking site. That "sponsored" sidebar is just gross.
"goregasm"?? WTF is that!? Nevermind, I really don't want to know.
Who's to blame? That's an idiotic question.
No gamer ever wrote to a publisher or developer and asked
"Yeah yer game is fun and all... but I just wish you would waste more of my brief life by stretching out the grind times to the point that ultimately either hate you and yer game or I pay you more money fer crap that is ALREADY IN or SHOULD already be in it."
