It won't be.. not at first. The PS3 has some amazing graphic capabilities and it could be 2 or 3 years into the PS4's life cycle before we really see what the PS4 brings to the table graphically, BUT I do expect to see much larger games and a few hints here and there of just what the PS4 is capable of from the start. It might not be ground breaking at first, but it will be heading there.
On the flip side, we don't know what Naughty Dogg has been working on and i...
I thought it was GENIUS on Sony's part to keep the actual PS4 console a mystery. What they did was wet our taste buds and got the world talking.. their presentation was impressive, but they held back and left us begging for me that we'll get in 4 months at E3. Had they gave it all to us, then the buzz going into E3 would be all about Microsoft and what they're going to bring to the table, since we already know what Sony brought. This keeps us interested in Sony going into E3. ...
I only paid about $35 for COD Black Ops II.. and I haven't played it in 2 months. I might just have to take GS up on this. Isn't Dead Space 3 on sale there this week for $40, too? If it is.. I know what I'll be doing later!
Prototypes of the PS4 have already been played by journalist and industry insiders.. it's reveal on the 20th is a GUARANTEE.
Motorstorm RC was already free at some point in the last year. I have it on my Vita and I know I never paid for it, but I don't remember why it was free.
I expect Sony to announce more than one thing on the 20th. If this was JUST about the PS4, they could have waited till E3 and not go through all this trouble putting together such a huge presentation.
It just needs to release GTAV. The game could suck and would still sell 5 million copies.
The PS3 is considered to be one of the top blu-ray players on the market.
This would be suicide for whoever bought the rights to Saints Row.
Too soon. I see a price-cut coming at E3, where Sony will no doubt showcase The Last Of Us as a must-have gaming experience that can be played on a newly priced, cheaper PS3. It would be a great "WOAH!" moment and will steal some of Microsoft's momentum, which Sony will need to do.
Killzone 4 and Uncharted 4 for me.. interested in LittleBigPlanet and I'll probably get it, too, since I have every other LBP game.
More time to play all the great games coming out in March.. Tomb Raider, God Of War (which is suppose to include a TLOU demo) and Gears Of War. Plus I haven't got Dead Space 3 yet.
Same here. I guess I would have easily been labeled an "Xbox fanboy" once upon a time, but then Xbox became all about Kinect and ruined it for me. So, now I play PS3. I'm super excited for the PS4, but if it becomes another "Kinect", I just might have to give up video games and read a book.
I have the 3G Vita and I never even use the 3G. Never needed to. Most places I go have WiFi and if they don't, being online isn't the most important thing in the world when playing a game like Uncharted or LittleBigPlanet.
Many hate on GameStop, but they have this thing called "pre-ordering" that's quite handy. If Sony announces the PS4 on the 20th, I'll be heading to GameStop on the 21st to pre-order. No sitting outside a store for days hoping I get one for me.
Man, I'm kinda bummed by this news. I was betting on the newest Twisted Metal being a PS+ "freebie" at some point soon. These releases will no doubt delay that from happening.
Keep in mind that it is Microsoft. They like to over-charge for EVERYTHING. We don't want to see Bill Gates on welfare.
Day 1 purchase for me and I'm absolutely loving it! I expected Blood Money to look the same as the original since it was also in HD, but it actually looks even better. This is a must have for any Hitman fan out there.
I don't mind having digital copies of my absolute FAVORITE games.. games that I never ever want to get rid of. But everything else, it's nice to have the CHOICE to get rid of, loan it out, trade it, sell it, whatever.
Sony owns blu-ray.. to not include discs would be the same as slicing it's own throat. Physical disc are not going anywhere soon. Digital downloads will stay an option, though.
