Everything has MP nowadays.
Agree. It was also fun releasing caged animals to watch them do the work for you. One outpost, I released a tiger with a sniper rifle and it took out the whole base on it's own. One of the funnest parts of the game.
That was actually one of the selling points of me getting GOW Ascension on release day. I'm sure the game is great regardless, but I might just nix my preorder and pick up Tomb Raider instead now.. by May, GOW will be a $40 title.. plus, The Last Of Us comes out 3 weeks later.
Considering the state of the world right now and how it seems almost daily that we Americans are losing more and more "freedom" due to the evil acts of others, EVIL has been winning. That's the way of the world.
EA will jump back from this, because we will always support them. We'll huff and puff about them constantly and say we'll never buy another EA product, but then they'll release another Madden and hook, line and sinker we'll bite again. ...
I see next-gen being full of fine print and lawsuits.
About 95% of mine have.
That pretty much stops me COLD on supporting digital releases. I have 2 PS3s.. one in the living room and another in the bedroom and I liked the idea of digital, because I could avoid moving the disc back and forth from one to the other, but if restrictions are going to stop me from enjoying the game on both consoles, I'll just stick to physical media.
Or you can just wait a month and pick it up when everyone starts discounting it $20.
Very disappointing. I'm still playing Dead Space 3 and after seeing Sony's PS4 reveal, I thought Dead Space 4 had a ton of potential with the new tech to be something special that would put the series back on the right track.
And microtransactions have been around for ages.. not just in video games!
Ever had to pay extra at a fast food joint to add cheese or bacon to your sandwich? That's a microtransaction. Goto a theater and want extra butter on your popcorn? That's a microtransaction. Went to the car wash and want a 2nd coat of wax? Microtransaction! Went to a petting zoo and need 'feed' to feed the animals? That's another microtransaction. Want to send a message to ...
EA has 2 letters for us gamers.. F and U.
Seriously, now more than ever, DON'T BUY THIS STUFF! Or at least wait till it's heavily discounted. Not buying it is how you make a stand against it.
I don't see it happening. The Xbox720 will be a huge purchase for a lot of people and you need to prepare them for it, so they can save their money. On the flip side, a lot of people are getting their income taxes in and if they do that contract deal they've been testing out with GameStop, it could make the Xbox720 very affordable quick. So, I dunno.
Didn't Microsoft just do a Gears Of War: Judgment event lastnight? Surely, if they were planning to launch the ...
His timing is questionable, since he just cashed in on his settlement with Activision. If it truly is family issues, I hope he works it out and makes a come back, but I wonder if it's more of a "I'm rich now and I don't need to do this sh*t anymore" or a "We're in over our heads" kind of vacation.
This picture article is a waste of time. None of the "release dates" are specific, but instead labeled as "Launch", "tba" or "2014". Other than that, it's merely speculating rumored games that might come out for PS4, like Uncharted 4 and Fallout. Don't waste your time.
Projecting the game on walls sounds cool, but the novelty of it I'm sure would wear off quick and then you have to consider space requirements (as with Kinect). I'm guessing this is "Illumiroom".
Nothing on that list really appeals to me. Maybe I'm just old school, but I can't think of anything better than just putting a nice, comfy controller in my hand and letting me do my thing.
I'm probably one of the few that's on the Cliffy B bandwagon, but I don't get all the fuss about this. I read his blog when he first posted it - I'm not going to read it again, but did he even touch on the subject of DLC giving gamers who buy it an advantage? I don't remember. But I do think it's hard to argue his point of "If you don't love it, don't buy it". That's just common sense.. not just in video games, but anything, yet people are com...
I don't think I even own any CDs anymore. There might be some around here somewhere.. cover in dust, no doubt.
I want Tomb Raider, but I already have my copy of GOW paid for.. and I'm still playing Dead Space 3. I'm going to probably wait for Tomb Raider to drop down to $40.. I'm going to need something to play between April and June when The Last Of Us comes out.
Keep in mind, with GOW, you're also getting TLOU demo.
Probably. The real question is will the PS4 and 720 versions of GTAV be BETTER or exactly the same? AND by the time they are finally released, will anyone care? Just look at Batman: Arkham City.. popular game, sold tons! Then Nintendo released the Wii U version with enhancements like a year or 2 later.. nobody cared. Everyone who wanted Batman AC had already played it. The same will happen to GTAV. Everyone is going to be playing it when it releases. An enhanced version a year later ...
This is clearly a marketing strategy. Release the demo in March, by the time the game comes out in June, the demo will be an after-thought. Our short attention spans will have moved on to something else by then and the demo 's effectiveness will have worn off. Release the demo 2 or 3 weeks before the game's release and it'll still be fresh on our minds and will inspire us to go buy the full game. It's all about the $$$$!
