Sony said at E3 that 1 PS4 game will be added EVERY month to the Instant Game Collection. Plus continued support for PS3 and Vita. So, I think we'll be okay as far as Playstation goes in the free games department.

Your save files are separate from the game file. You can delete one without it affecting the other.
I've been a PS+ subscriber for about 2 years and have filled 500 GB with it's free games and deals. Every so often I have to go in and delete stuff I'm not playing just to make room for the newest releases, which is fine, because I can always download them again later when I'm ready to play them.
Still, above and beyond, GREAT service! Sony needs to do a better job marketing it, though, because it seems so many people are still clueless how good a service it...
I'm amazed Microsoft isn't even trying to compete with the Playstation Plus service. This free game promotion is nice, but it's only good till the end of the year. Playstation is giving us a free PS4 game every month on Plus.. that's amazing! I don't know if it'll be a stripped down version or not, but still.. that alone makes Plus worth it's $50/year pricetag.

It does matter actually. Microsoft is going to push digital downloads hard on the XboxOne and if you buy into it, you'll fill that 500 GB HDD in no time.
Look at it like this. Games on Xbox One can be just as big as games on PS3 can be now. (Blu-ray.) Uncharted 3 is 40 GB... and that's a current gen game. Next gen, being way more powerful, you're going to have a lot more 40 GB games on the market.

I don't disagree with Bleszinski, but I think Microsoft were the wrong ones to implement such restrictions. It should have been left to game publishers.

They didn't fix everything. There is still the issue with Kinect's spying. Eliminate that.. make it where Kinect isn't needed and they could easily drop the price $100 and match Sony. Then we're in business.

So am I.. at launch, but I'll eventually pick up the XboxOne. I don't see much point in buying 2 consoles about the same time - I'll end up favoring one and the other one will collect dust. So, better to just buy one, play it's games and then later, after they work out the bugs and maybe cut the price, pick up the other one and what exclusives I missed on it.

That's an awesome update! I've been a Plus member for a long time now and know what a great service it is... and that's one of the most impressive updates I've ever seen. Way to go, Sony EU.

What exactly did this update "fix"? How do we know it didn't purposely brick the consoles of users who were doing something against Sony's ToS, like piracy?

Graphics are the backbone of modern gaming. Why do you think next-gen consoles have so much RAM? The majority of it is for graphics. That's why we pay hundreds of $$$ to have the latest consoles.
Don't get me wrong - game play and innovation is important, too, but you can get that playing old NES games.
I'm not usually a big COD fan - I always play the game, but I'm not die hard about it. Anyway, I'm actually excited for Ghost, because they FINALLYYYYYY update the game engine. Add that to being on a next-gen console, like the PS4, and I'm sold!
Curious... I have GTA V preordered for PS3. Knowing me, after I get my PS4 in November, I'll probably never touch my PS3 again. From what I understand, with the cloud you can play every PS1, PS2 and PS3 game, right? So, if I cancel my GTA V preorder and instead buy GTA V digitally on PSN - since I own a digital copy, would I be able to stream GTA V to my PS4 when the cloud becomes available and without any transfer fee?
