i like RedBox for movies, but they're something i can watch and return.. a game might take several days or even weeks to complete and that $2 a day charge adds up. i think a much better deal would have been $2 or $3 for the first day and then $1 for each additional day. but video games in RedBox works in other ways, too.. for $2 i can TRY OUT a game i'm interested in spending $60 on. that eliminates the "need" to depend on review sites to help me decide rather to invest i...
i've been holding off on getting all of RDR's DLC for awhile. i'm glad that when Undead Nightmare came out, XBLM was offering it, along with the other DLC, all for only $20. i jumped on that deal, saving $10 in the process. no regrets, whatsoever! and Undead Nightmare has been crazy fun.
IF i get this game, i'm going with Kmart's deal.. 25,000 points to reward club members, which equals to $25 off a future purchase. And it's free to join the rewards club, so anyone can do this. try again, Amazon.com.
i don't read reviews at all as i don't believe one person's opinion should matter. but i do read the review highlights that sites like IGN post after the review with their scores and i look at the emblems that gamespot.com gives it's reviewed games. other than that, i don't care about that person's opinion.
i'm loving that this ariticle was posted on N4G. i've said it a million times that you can't count on a review (a.k.a. one person's opinion) to determine for you rather a game is to your liking or not. the ONLY way to know is to play the game yourself. unfortunately, too many gamers (and not just gamers, but movie-goers and music lovers) rely too heavily on what a reviewer has to say and, like sheep, follow that person's every word.
this isn't t...
i've said it before and i'll say it again, a review is ONE person's opinion. just because ONE person doesn't like something, doesn't mean you or the next person won't. the first Force Unleashed got so-so reviews, too.. guess what? i LOVED that game! recently, Medal Of Honor got so-so reviews.. i LOVE it, too. Fallout: New Vegas.. same! rent the game, play it's demo and decide for yourself.
the majority of that stuff in those packs i've already found wandering around the Fallout: New Vegas wasteland in my 20 hours of play.. and i got my copy of the game at Kmart. so, i didn't get any DLC code. i just got a $20 off future game purchase coupon.
i've played FNV for about 7 or 8 hours and in that time, i've came across 3 glitches on my PS3 version. the first 2 were lock-ups. the 3rd was "deputy beagle" being glued to the ceiling. other than that, the game has played great and considering a game the SIZE of FNV, glitches can be expected. thankfully, we live in a time where developers can continue supporting games even after they enter our homes with a patch.
i'm not too far into the game yet, but it seems to be every bit as good as Fallout 3.. and that's not a bad thing. i loved Fallout 3. my only problem with Fallout: New Vegas is that Fallout 3 was 2 years ago and FNV's improvements are few and nothing groundbreaking. so, it's score deserves a slight knock for the lack of not bringing anything new to the table. still, if you loved Fallout 3, you'll love Fallout: New Vegas.
slightly better graphics.. exclusive DLC.. everything is telling me to pick this game up for Xbox. but curse my stubborn mind. i'm still wanting it for PS3.
if it was stolen.. all i can think to say is "suck on that, bobby kotick!" because if this turns out to be some kind of hoax, i'm sure bobby kotick is thinking "suck on that, losers. now buy my f'n game!" and, of course, we will.
people seem to forget that a review is simply one person's opinion.. and opinion based on their job, at that. i personally don't know ANY of the "pro" reviewers of any magazine or website. i don't know the kind of games they're into. i don't know if they even wanted to play the game they were paid to review. and, considering it's been proven that some review sites give favorable reviews for financial reasons (for example, Gamespot's fiasco with it'...
i'm not happy about this decision either, but Sony has had it's fair share of exclusive content.. The Joker as a playable character in Arkham Asylum, for example.
i have an Xbox, but i was all set on getting this for my PS3.. i dunno now. Fallout 3's DLC was some good stuff. i'd hate to have to wait a YEAR before getting my hands on New Vegas' DLC, if even then.
atleast UK gamers recognize a great game when they see one and not just dismiss it as another Call Of Duty wannabe.
i finished it yesterday and thought the single player campaign was better than what any Call Of Duty game's campaign had to offer. i love the realism of it. the MP might not be upto par with Call Of Duty, but it's a major WIN with it's single player action.
downloading it.. i've already beat the game and don't have much interest in re-visiting it, but free is free and better to download it now while it's free than later and find out i missed out.
i'm personally loving my copy of Medal Of Honor. i was never too big a fan of the COD style multiplayer and have limited experience playing it, so i couldn't tell you which is better between MOH and any COD game, but i find Medal Of Honor's single player campaign (which i'm about 80% through) to be much more engaging. everything i've done so far seems like something real soldiers would really be doing in our current war. not only that, the game sounds spectacular.. in s...
who watches wrestling you asked? well, if you're not watching it yourself, chances are, your neighbor, your co-workers, friends, somebody you know is, because WWE averages about 4 million viewers every monday night in the United States alone. you "closet fans", still thinking you know better than everyone else that the business is "fake" need to open that closet door a notch and realize that professional wrestling is not only very much popular in today's society,...
while i do LIKE G4, i'm honestly not hugely disappointed in this. i'm spoiled to HD programming and DirecTv has never offered G4 in HD. so, i didn't watch it much. the ONLY time of the year i did spend a decent time watching it was during E3. hopefully, DirecTv and G4 will hug and make up by then.
