This is where people like yourself don't understand Playstation Plus...
It's not all "free" (or "rented", if you like) games. It's also HUGE savings.. on top of HUGE savings. (For example, right now, PSN has Mortal Kombat and Batman: Arkham Asylum on sale for $10 each.. Plus members can get them for $5 each.) If a Plus member spends any money whatsoever on a game (DLC not included), they KEEP that game forever, which is no different than wha...
@Heretic96
You apparently missed the joke. I was making fun of Xbox fans discrediting the Playstation Plus service.. I was not being one of them.
Personally, I am a HUGE fan of Playstation Plus, have been a member for a few years now and I am well aware of what a great VALUE it is. I also agree with everything you said. I was an Xbox Gold member for years, as well, but let my subscription expire last year.. I only recently renewed for 6 months (at a great ...
October works for me. I should have my PS4 preorder and the games I'm getting all paid off by September.
Not if you're an Xbox fan. "Rented" games and big discounts are TERRIBLE.
Haters are going to hate and say any dumb thing they can think of to try to justify their hate, but if you don't recognize that Battlfield 3 "free" "rented" or however you see it is not a great VALUE for Playstation Plus members, you're an idiot.
On top of the "freebie" or "rental", we're getting ridiculous savings on some AAA titles that we KEEP.. FOREVER.. rather our Plus membership expires or not.
Considering how things typically go up in price over the years, I think $400 for a PS4 is a great price and with the popularity in preorders, I can't see Sony making any price-cuts for at least 2 to 3 years after the system launches.
Sure, at first, there may be bugs and glitches, which will be cleared up with patches, but there are also advantages sometimes. Like with the PS3's backwards compatibility, which was removed in later versions of the console.
And I hope you enjoy it and play it and the 10 other games Microsoft will give you till the end of the year FOREVER. That is AWESOME for you and I really am HAPPY for you to have that.
Personally, my interest in a game dies after a few weeks typically, so I don't really have any need to keep it forever - that's a long time. 10 games might keep me occupied for about 3 months. So, Playstation Plus is GREAT for me, because after I'm done with those first 10 games,...
So is your internet, electricity, water and other monthly bills you have. If you don't PAY for them, you don't KEEP them. Playstation Plus is no different, but it's services are a great VALUE, nonetheless.
Gawd, I hate that! And you know the only reason they even say that is because they are trying to lessen the value of the service to justify them not having it or not having a PS3/Vita/PS4.
Rental or Free, no matter how you look at it, either way, Playstation Plus is a tremendous VALUE.. and one of the best, if not THE best, values I've ever come across.
Haters gonna hate.
Grandpa Xbox
Meaningless as far as third party developers go, because they won't be able to fully use PS4's potential since they have to work around Xbox One's specs and then port everything to PS4, so that PS4 doesn't have a superior product.
First party developers disagree.
Got it preordered, but will probably cancel so I can buy it on PSN on launch day and then, hopefully, transfer it to the PS4 via the cloud when it becomes available in 2014.
Weak cover. I'm curious about the crowd's reaction to it, though.. they were clapping and cheering like it was the greatest thing they've ever seen. I've been to RAW before and the ring annoucer would tell the audience before going live to go nutz cheering as the show opens - I wonder if they did that again.
By Fall 2014 on the biggest AAA releases, by Fall 2015 for all others. The last thing I want to see is developers holding back on what they can do with the PS4 and XboxOne's power, because they want the PS3/360 versions to look and play the same in comparison.
I've been a lot more open to buying digital since getting Playstation Plus.. I think it got me use to the idea of downloading (free) full length games and then offered a lot of other games at a huge discount, so I find myself downloading more and more of them. I've yet to download a game at FULL PRICE, but I'm thinking about doing that with some of the Fall releases, like GTA V and South Park: The Stick Of Truth in hopes I can transfer my digitals over to my PS4 at some point.
I loved Tomb Raider - some of the best action sequences I've ever seen in a video game, but the game did stretch out a bit too long. PSN just had it on sale for like $20, so I'd hold off on paying anything more than that.
Far Cry 3 was also great and $20 is a great price. Highly recommended!
I dunno about that.. The character designs in The Last Of Us look amazing. Definitely on par or better than Kratos.
I don't know if this picture has anything to do with a new GOW game, but I think it's a given that a new GOW game will eventually come to PS4 and Vita. Sony isn't going to abandon a top selling franchise like that.
The same could be said about LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted.
I'm guessing this is when they will announce the release date. It's going to be a LONG summer.
Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not a "fan boy" of Sony or Microsoft. I'm a recognizer of a good VALUE, which is why I click on this article to begin with.
@warewolfSS ..Considering what I posted was 100% FACT and still managed to get so many disagrees in the Xbox Live article, I don't think I'm the one looking "insecure", bud.
@CerebralAssassin ..64 games over a year's time. Sorry in your 2 or 3 months as a subscriber y...
