I have to say that I loved the cover system in particular. In fact I hope soft-cover systems like this replace the wall-glue most games of this genre use.

TR could be the smoothest TPS experience I've ever played, honestly.

Myabe it was just me, but it seemed the gaming media was making a bigger deal of this than common gamers themselves.

I don't know what people expected failing the QTE to do. "You got raped. GAME OVER!" doesn't sound like something that would happen. People thought it out way too hastily.

While I agree that dealings certain individuals could use more moral dynamics in the storytelling, most of the threats facing you are common guards and individuals just doing their jobs. They're ignorant of the truth behind you. They do not deserve death by any means.

However, they present obstacles in the way to your target and they sometimes need to be forcefully removed. But as long as they have their lives and health at the end of it, you've absolutely done the ...

You know, I'm not so sure her AI is as revolutionary as they're saying. Her going around and finding stuff to do in the environment on her own is unique from a storytelling persepctive, but what about gamplay?

She can toss you supplies when you need them, but that's not a new thing for AI NPCs. She can phase in objects to help you, but that's not something an NPC is necessarily required to justify. And that's pretty much it, as she doesn't help in di...

Those last 5 seconds... I so did that too.

Despite what harcore TR fans say, I'm really enjoying this reboot and I'm glad it's succeeding. Could see improvements in complexity with the puzzles (though they're not bad for what they are) and more presence of actual tombs, but otherwise it's very good.

Read the article. As knowyourstuff said, it was about her AI and challenge in writing her when she was in the presence of combat.

My god... I swear I saw Reggie in that picture for a second.

Lol you're right. I just mean I don't like how people get stuck on franchise rivalries. It's always gonna be "This is soooo much better than that!" and I find it kind of pointless. Too much bashing and fanboyism for me.

I don't think there's any debate that Uncharted has better visuals, though. Uncharted 3 is currently the most technically impressive console game of this generation and very few would deny that. I just wanted to fairly remind peop...

Is writing an article like this a crime? You don't have to agree, but it's annoying how parrots blindly make accusations of political correctness (it's about censorship, not discussions or suggestions), swarming these articles.

I also don't see why many make a big deal out of these traits, but I also know that female and other minority protagonists are relatively rare in gaming, especially if you're looking for legitimately well-developed characters. Tha...

I really can't stand these comparisons. Can't we just enjoy both without the pointless franchise rivalries?

And the reason Uncharted looks better than TR (and most everything else) it because it's an exclusive built by the undisputed masters of the PS3 architecture, and TR is a multi-plat from a third-party studio. But honestly, they both look great.

@Blacktric

Yeah, that was corny as hell. But are you really gonna hold the entire DLC against it?

And Hamburger Helper? That's the incredibly disrespectful nickname people call one of the Dragon Age writers (whom had nothing to with this DLC or ME3, I'll add) because they have the maturity level of middle-schoolers, right? Grow up.

I was quite disappointed with ME3, but this bitterness and spite needs to stop. It's been an e...

Just another example of how these big publishers fail at PR, if true. A good business or spokesperson does not antagonize an entire demogrpahic or fanbase.

I could see something like this successfully integrated into the features for the PS4 and new Xbox (and obviously the internet already does it) but national TV? Not in a million years.

I believe it would take my PS3 approximately two years to finish that download.

As long as games look better visually with the sacrifice of frames, 30fps will always be prevalent. Sadly this is a fundamental fact in game design that will not change.

I understand the complaint and agree with it, but he seems a little too hung up on it. It seems like this one flaw is poisoning his opinion of every other aspect of the game.

For the record to this reviewer, single button-prompts are not QTE's like the ledge-grab instances he's describing. And the obvious answer to the fire-arrow gripe is that the arrows have a predefined chance to ignite the enemy and are not bugged.

Looks great. Kind of similar to a current-gen game with the nifty PC bells and whistles, which is believable since it's a cross-gen title.
