Jesus Christ. That's got to be one of the most obnoxiously designed sites I've ever visited. Bars and ads and embedded videos take up almost every inch of the page...

It's a turn of phrase. People use both forms of the expression regularly in everyday use, so it's perfectly acceptable to say "could care less" because the consensual meaning of the phrase is that someone cares very little for something.

...I mean, yeah, he was obviously just trolling, but it's always been funny to me that people that are annoyed by this particular phrasing quirk feel the need to respond AS OFTEN as the "mistake" is made. Doesn...

Just another rant on the perceived lack of interactivity in today's video games.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter in the least what particular category a piece of entertainment falls under. Whether people love a game for it's cutscene-heavy storyline or it's engaging gameplay, it is successful if the experience is enjoyable.

Really wish I could get my click back, to be honest. I sort of assumed that with a title like that, the actual ...

Look, I love gaming, but like everything else in the world it can reach an unhealthy level. I've got a couple of friends that game like this and it's NOT healthy.

There's no room to live a healthy life, either physically or mentally, when all your time is dedicated to one specific activity all day, every day.

It was a good review. I gotta tell ya, I'm even a fan of Ninja Theory's past two games, but something about the story and characters in this one still rubbed me the wrong way. I pretty much hated Dante all the way through the game.

Not to say that I "liked" Dante in the past games either (I never really thought the one-liners were all that funny or clever, to be honest), but at least he didn't set off my douche-o-meter every time he opened his mouth. <...

It's just one more sign that a game is being created expressly as a cash cow. Resources and time that could have gone into the singleplayer campaign are instead funneled into a tacked-on multiplayer mode that developers "herd" people into with achievements like these in some shallow attempt to squeeze a few more dollars out of consumers (presumably when the nickel-and-dime DLC starts rolling in, as is inevitable these days).

It would be monetarily impossible for game companies to "pay off" that many sites. Sure, you always have to be wary of the bigger ones because they almost all seem to operate on the "courtesy" system, but with the smaller ones, most of the time a review is just a review. You're going to disagree with a ton of them. That's just how opinions work.

So if reading the opinions of others is not your cup of tea, you might just want to stick to videos and ...

We're just a violent country. Politicians and advocacy groups can bicker and argue about what they can do to "fix" everything, but the fact of the matter is we're just violent people.

You would have to fundamentally change this nation's state of mind to get anything to change, and the fact that there is this much backlash about gun control laws (from conservatives and liberals alike) is evidence that they are only going to mask the actual issue: one of c...

The point here is that it's okay to kill evil babies.

I honestly just check these for performance at this point. One version or the other sometimes has more screen tearing or slowdown than the other. It's pretty rare now to see any major differences, but then you occasionally get games like RAGE that have major problems on one particular system, so I still check just to be safe.

It's not that I'm offended by it or anything, I'm just...I don't know. It's just getting so goddamn tiring. Did we really need zombie chicks to be sexualized for us once again? It's not even funny or edgy at this point.

Still, the feminists are equally tiring, if not more so.

^ I've always been confused by that line of reasoning as well. How are people able to "relate" to hardened soldiers, monsters, demons, Italian plumbers, and even flat-out murderers...and yet a character that is gay is not only automatically un-relatable, but apparently can't even be interesting enough to heterosexuals to carry a narrative?

You don't have to be anymore gay to get into a narrative involving a gay character than you have to be a murdering ...

Except that it's been even worse since Apple's monumental rise this past decade. Companies can basically make anything with a touchscreen and be accused of copying Apple these days.

That's how Appletards operate.

All this copyright BS and all the accusations that take off all over the internet have created a very hostile environment in technology that seems to suggest that nothing should be influenced by anything.

I think the distinction is that porn does not sell well in a mainstream market. Games like Seduce Me are PORN. Meaning that despite any pretense, they exist solely to get people off.

Now think of games that use violence solely for the same purpose, like Postal and Manhunt. They meet with a stigma similar to porn. Most violent games, I would argue, are more than just an exercise in sadistic pain. In fact, most games are presented in VERY black and white settings (ie, death is...

...let me get this straight.

A country that routinely releases games portraying sexualized minors has seen fit to edit a relatively tame sex scene?

And "wounds" have been removed from the game, but they are responsible for some of the most brutally violent animation and games from anywhere in the world?

Yes, all that makes complete sense.
