Honestly though, I am pretty excited about XV. Let's hope they can pull it off. This generation, that is. I would like to think that this new generation is an opportunity for publishers to atone for the mistakes of the past. I'll be cautiously optimistic on this.
Holy crap every single multiplat except CoD is the PS4 SKU. Talk about a role reversal. Cheaper system, more power, better multiplats. What's not to like?

How many of them were spotty trailers with no real indication of gameplay? How many were multiplat? The list gets real short once you factor in all the facts. And how short is your memory that you've forgotten Sony showed off 4 launch window exclusives at the PS Meeting in Feb? KZ, Drive Club, Knack, Infamous SS. ...

All this means is certain greedy publishers (EA) might try some online pass bullshit again. Nothing changes between the PS3 and PS4 ecosystem for used games. We will see a lot more "online" style games - every publisher had one or two as at E3 - which is a sligtly less annoying way to claw at the same issue. At least people who play MMORPGs are used to the concept of buy once, buy forever.

@newmonday I do hope that was sarcasm. I won't be purchasing an Xbone, ever. I learned my lesson when the 360 lured me in with their JRPG "extravaganza", which turned out to be one great game (Lost Odyssey) and a bunch of stuff that went multiplat. Jumped out in 2011 or so and won't ever go back to MS. As an educated consumer I can't abide by their ethics or practices either. They're a deplorable company.
All these naysayers better hope that the last of these next-gen consoles (PS4/ Xbone) sell like shit, because they're certainly talking a lot of trash based on next to nothing. The last console generation cumulatively sold more than any previous one. Of course sales have been steadily declining (see this crap article for reference), that's what happens when a generation goes on 2-3 years longer than people have come to historically expect.

@NBT Better specs across the board and a clear power advantage for the PS4, and one version will look a 'little' nicer? I bet the PS4 version looks significantly nicer, from higher resolution to better lighting, textures and effects. The Digital Foundry comparisons are going to be some sweet vengeance for PS fans this gen.
Edit: And yes, I imagine KH3 will be multi as well. I am willing to bet that both XV and KH3 are exclusive in Japan though. Especially considering...
Just preordered mine. Only place I could do it was Gamestop. Everywhere else: Futureshop, Best Buy, etc. was sold out.
And it also helps Sony's situation that their direct competitor made an expensive, clusterfuck of a console with hardly any redeeming qualities except Halo (if you even like that, which I'm not alone in not caring about).
