Those aren't 1st party. They were referring to 1st party games.
Dead on Arrival. Sony will do $399 now, for sure.
To recap, unless it said "exclusive" under the Xbone logo that flashed after trailers, its not. So a bunch of shooters and multiplats (MGS V, BF 4, Witcher 3, and another I think). Everything else was known/ leaked beforehand except for that world building game, that looks interesting, I'll admit. Not $500 and a DRM nightmare interesting though.
See this list. CBoat (Neogaf leaker) nailed everyt...
2 per month until November. Read the fine print.
Or booing him for sloppy performance and for not interacting with the Mountain Dew commercial.
The gimmick is out now, and it will be hard selling Kinect (the gimmick) twice. Nintendo learned that with the Wii U. I think it will be a harder sell than analysts expect, especially if the PS4 beats MS on price too (multiple rumours have suggested this).
You're just upset now that you realized that there is an actual job where you can get paid to troll - and you've been working probono the whole time.
On a more serious note, this is a real issue. The mods at Neogaf have been culling the shills like crazy the past few days, there is a whole thread dedicated to the exposure of shills. I am sure that every corporation does this to some degree, but MS have been working overtime lately with all the makeup they need to put ...
Yes, I've even gone as far as to infiltrate Digital Foundry, and to pose as the Xbox One creative design team for a round-table discussion in which their specs were confirmed and thereafter broken down by several news agencies, including DF.
That was sarcasm, clearly. Maybe you should take your head out of the "clouds" - pun intended.
SITH, if you don't know the difference between streaming a game to a remote device (Gaikai/ OnLive) and SHARING the processing duties between two systems spatially distant and outputing on a single screen, you are an idiot.
Gaikai is just Netflix for videogames. The only latency concerns you worry about are input controls, which are in milliseconds anyway and STILL can lag. Now try streaming and computing fragments of frame (FPS data), be that textures, particle effects ...
Are you factoring any sort of bandwidth calculations into that? You realize data goes from console>cloud>console, so anything that takes more than a few milliseconds SUCH AS RENDERING A FRAME I.E. WHAT APPEARS ON SCREEN - SHADERS, RESOLUTION, TEXTURES - cannot magically appear from cloud sorcery. That's not how games work or EVERY MMORPG would be a featherlight web based client and have EYE-MELTING graphics run entirely servers-side. Oh wait, that's not reality.

@Icicle That debunk was refuted by the insider. He is adamant that it is true. And seriously, Major Nelson is nothing but a PR mouthpiece that has been caught lying or distorting the truth several times for years now, whereas this Cboat guy has NEVER been wrong. Ever. Remember this:

Let's not forget the GPU which has a 50% raw power advantage.
What benefit is there to any Telecom retailer to partner with X-1 when they ALREADY sell their own DVRs. In Canada, we have a Rogers "Nextbox" even, which would not only incur name/ branding confusion, but already links to tablets, smartphones and does everything the X-1 does - it even has crap games that the casual audience can boot up on their televisions. That's the biggest cable provider north of the border too, so I don't see much success in pursuing any of these angles...
I really loved XII. New battle system - semi-MMOish - tonnes of sidequests, non-linear, ADULT (political, nuanced) story. Then they jumped the fucking shark with XIII, and continued to ride that dead horse for the course of a generation.
I won't be touching Lightning Returns unless its on sale for $10 and an impulse buy. I'll give SE one more shot for next-gen before writing off the series entirely though.
No, they will announce a controller, just like Samsung did. I'm 99% sure that's what the announcement will entail. Apple are the ones playing catchup now.
What's ironic is that the last thing Jobs ever wanted for his precious iDevices were games on them. And that has become the Appstore's largest source of revenue.
For DCUO. I'm hoping that the PC/ PS3/ PS4 servers all merge, because I have a pretty high level, 118 SP PC character that I don't feel like building up again. Would be a nice boost for the population too, to merge servers.
Never tried Planetside 2, specifically because I sort of knew it was coming to the PS4. If Sony is smart, they'll start bundling some of these F2P games preinstalled on the consoles so that people can start playing stuff right out of the box.
Polygon were given 750K in startup funds by MS. Another poster evidenced this above. You can't expect their opinion not to be slanted when Mamma MS pays the bills.
They probably can't on account of Kinect, the EDRAM and the blu-ray licencing fees. People in a different thread were shitting fury about Sony not including the PS4 Eye, but that is EXACTLY what will give them a price advantage. So far they have MS trumped in every area: specs, price and launch window (no more 1-1.5 year headstart). Should be interesting.
Really? Ask yourself which version will be true 1080p/ 60 FPS (Sony's new mandate) with all the bells and whistles and which one will be sub-1080p with a lot of compromises in post-processing (MS DROPPED their resolution mandate for this gen).
I know which version I'll be getting (PS4). Oh, and on the off chance that it actually sucks, I know which version I'll be TRADING IN.
PS4 will clearly be the lead platform for this, they won't even show...
