They will bundle it with the high end SKU, not the entry level one. Guarenteed. And they will probably have the lowest priced console on the market (or same as the Wii U). Cannot beat that sort of check-out value for a consumer.
This is why we will get a #349 base SKU. AND, why the Vita will find new life (remote-play for ALL games that do not use camera or Move).
This benefits the consumers, people should not complain.
I got laughed out of the park on N4G for making price claims of $349 months ago, but it Sony is really out for blood they will do it. As far as the camera, its not intrinsic to the PS4 experience, so I see them keeping it out of the "basic" bundle, just to keep costs down. But then we'd be looking at a camera+500 GB HDD "plus" model (or thereabouts) for $449. That's my guess anyhow. I think like with Sony betting on RAM manufacturing working out in their favor, MS ...
Thanks Djinn. Correction: PS4> Xbone. But PS3 isn't that far off with the Xbone's gimped specs.
Your denial is extraordinary. The specs are in the wild. They have been confirmed. PS3 > Xbox One, by a wide margin. Go read the Digital Foundry article, you buffoon.
To recap (PS4 is on the left):
GDDR5 > DDR3
1.8 TF > 1.2 TF (This is KEY, as the raw GPU power is +50%)
Bu-bu-but, the Cloud! Okay. I'll give you that one as the MS Cloud is powered by imagination. Like fairies and unicorns.
I'm sure tha...
Shoot-em-up
You clearly missed the joke. They're trolling MS and the media. The "fans" - the smart ones anyway - are taking the piss.
What is more interesting, is that this is essentially a confirmation that with few publisher expectations (EA), games and game sharing should remain relatively unchanged on PS platforms his coming gen. SCE would look ridiculous implementing Draconian DRM after taking a jibe like this. Good news for PS fans and spectacular trolling on the com...
They never said "15 CORE exclusives". Just like the Xbone reveal, you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect 15 titles geared toward 15-35 y/o males. Especially when KINECT ONE FITNESS (or whatever) was just trademarked.
I think that the bigger issue for MS is how direly they misjudged the market. They're chasing after that "big screen" domination (T.V.), which is already on its way out. That's not how people consume media anymore, games included. Smaller screens, personal screens are ubiquitous, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't have a smart phone or a tablet in NA.
Even me, a mid 30's "core" audio/ videophile with the latest and gr...
Nothing that needs to be rendered immediately ON FRAME can be done on the cloud. You either stream an entire game from a server or only superfluous calculations that are happening totally off-screen. Resolution, textures, on-screen physics, AA, 90% of the geometry and modelling HAS to be done onscreen via a local box. And what about the bandwidth exchange in this pie-in-the-sky bullshit? Data goes from the box to the cloud then back to the box again. Are we assuming a FLAWLESS latency situati...
@ Joe. Incorrect. As confirmed by MS: 3 gigs are RESERVED AT ALL TIMES FOR THE SYSTEM OS.
http://kotaku.com/the-five-...
Jesus Christ, its like people are deliberately ignoring what MS has shown them about the system.
@ Big. I think you're looking for contention where there is none. Yes, the PS3 overall produced better games when...
Lunacy. They will barely crack 300 million this generation between all three console manufacturers. The people at Redmond have officially gone off the deep end. They're trying to create THE NEXT BIG THING, but it doesn't come to fruition just by screaming that you're going to be number one and throwing millions of dollars at it. The product itself has to be inherently engaging and compelling. Not even Steve Jobs knew how successful the iPad was going to be, he just had a "hun...
I think true 1080p on PS4 and some 1650 X 900 or other "sub" 1080p solution on Xbone are more feasible outcomes. And the PS4 will certainly have better draw-distance, particle effects and textures. There has never been a generation with three machines so clearly apart from one another.
Wii U 300-400 TF (generous), 1-1.whatever gigs RAM
Xbone 1.2 TF, 5 gigs RAM
PS4 1.8 TF 7 gigs FASTER RAM
*RAM=RAM that is freed and usable for drawing...
Title is incorrect. "Microsoft registers Kinect One and Kinect Fitness domains."
That's one of the "new" IPs. Kinect Fitness. Don't cleverly edit the title.
Do keep in mind that some Kinect sports shit was just trademarked. So you can cross one of those "15 Exclusives!" (for hardcore gamers) off the list.
The whole system is a mess, from message to execution. It needs to flop, and hard, so that the market can get back to a healthy state.
Its from Digital Foundry. Link is in the thread. Your denial is reaching critical mass. Take the Paxil quick. Oh and it was the Xbox team themselves that confirmed the 768 streams in the GPU. There's a tech breakdown that was done after the reveal where the info leaked that DF refers to. Read the article. And don't forget your Paxil.
Raptura, we're talking about a MAJOR 25-30% difference in RAW POWER (12 CUs vs 18 CUs and better RAM and architecture in the PS4 overall), this isn't like the piddling discrepancies this gen where certain games looked better on one platform or the other and there was relative parity. We're talking about a GAP.
I'm not being a fanboy at all by choosing the best bang for my buck and the system primarily dedicated to the playing of video games. That's how the...
(mispost)
Yeah, he's clearly being sarcastic folks. At least I hope he is. Be merciful.
Monster Hunter is just a PSO clone. I'm getting tired of that moniker being given to every mission based game with giant monsters. Especially when most of these games are better than the plodding, chore-ridden MH that people seem to idolize.
