No, looks like Digimon X Shin Megami T. X God Eater.
Looks awesome!
He's not panicking, he's a vulture - not venture - capitalist. If/ when the turnaround succeeds he won't have the opportunity to sweep in and harvest the choicest assets. Short term vision for maximum profit are all his sort are about; they care little for the welfare of the company, its shareholders, workers or products.
They're also not the publisher (Square Enix) so of course they never saw a dime. Those who make the IP don't benefit from it once development is done. They ship the game and the publisher reaps the royalties for any further sales or promotions. I guarantee SE is getting money from PS+ (its even insinuated in the article), they're just not passing it on.
1.3 million subs down on WoW - lowest its been since BC. Time to find a new teat to milk. Hope Titan is successful for them or they're kinda screwed on that revenue stream.
Guess 20K is the new Vita baseline. Not bad. Some more killer apps (don't care what IGN says, Soul Sacrifice is one - almost 300K in Japan and probaly 450K or more WW) and they'll be fine.
Agreed. Forgot about the Western release of that, to be honest. SEGA have a horrible track record for games people actually want.
I'll take a confirmation of a Soul Sacrifice 2 over anything you listed. Its literally one of the best games I've played in years. Like Monster Hunter without all the "chores". Can't wait for a more realized, better budgeted sequel.
You're not nearly at the end. Once you beat Magusar, you open up Chapters 6-10 of the Avalon Pacts. Plus all the time trials. Then there's farming for whatever sigils, gear etc that you need. So much to do and not enough time!
Game rocks. And for the record out of all the reviews, Jim Sterling is the only one who completed the main campaign - so props to him for DOING HIS JOB. Mainstream reviewers like IGN are the worst sort of bottom-feeding, click hungry, Mountain Dew whoring trash. Not to mention the Avalon Quests and MP aren't even online. Really, its embarrassing that these people play MP centric games without ever dipping into the content. 75% of the quests aren't available for single player. I'd ...
The Eurogamer review spends 2/3 of it complaining about how hard the game is. This is a tactical game, with a shocking amount of depth and skill needed to master it. So yeah, it won't be for everyone. Can't wait to grab my copy! Counting the hours. I actually went for a physical version despite my preference for digital, as SCEA REFUSED to let people know if the pre-order bonuses came with the digital copy until LAST NIGHT. I swear sometimes its as if publishers just don't want mo...
Google YEN to US dollar conversion. You have no idea what you're talking about justiceot. 1 dollar = 100 yen. So when the yen DEPRECIATES, even 15%, 1 dollar can equal 85 YEN. Therefore the same amount of US money is SUDDENLY WORTH SIGNIFICANTLY MORE YEN. WHICH IS WHAT NINTENDO REPORTS THEIR FINANCIALS IN.
And now multiply that by billions in US cash and yes, you can get upwards of billions of YEN, easily.
Economics.
P.S. Its not "un...
"Much of the profit can be attributed to favourable changes in the currency markets and the firm's investments as opposed to sales of Nintendo products." That's right in the article. Off the paragraph used in this N4G post even - you don't even have to search to find it, only READ.
They didn't make money, the YEN (Nintendo's currency for the sake of reporting) depreciated so terribly that the US money they have saved is WORTH MORE. That's not...
Sounds like a turn of the century, steampunk, Templar sort of deal.
Awesome!
The people who have convinced themselves that Nintendo launched some AAA, high-tech, ground-breaking device are just as annoying, eh?
The only reason why they posted a profit is because the yen has depreciated so much. So when they have billions of dollars in US banks, when converted to yen they make a "profit".
Economics are fun.
Its not doing fine. And I'm sure that if Nintendo is listing their own internal figures, they are including downloadable, retail copies games. For the record the 3DS has missed every one of its forecasts too.
Exclusive games, yes. There are plenty, but a lot of them haven't made it out of Japan yet. Sony would be wise to pay a few million and get some Western AAA titles on their system too - that aren't CoD. Bioshock, Battlefield. That sort of content. And the Vita won't be $250 for ever either. I would be shocked if it doesn't get a pricecut announcement at E3.
Vita is around 5-6 million sold so far and that's nothing to scoff at. Its already out of "dead...

Neogaf Wizards have it at 67K with MHU and Lego whatever for a FIVE week period. System is officially on life-support. Not even the Vita dropped this hard in its 5th month. 3rd party software sales and attach rate is terrible too.
They're still down YoY. Try and pull yourself out of the spin. And they've missed every hardware forecast they've made for both Wii U and the 3DS.
Not what I was expecting at all. Mind Blown. SCEJ is really doubling down on unique RPGs lately. First Soul Sacrifice, now this. So excited. Hope we get a PS Blog post on this confirming localization.
