Don't do this to yourself. NPD will be the standard disappointment for Wii U sales next month. Pikimin 3 barely doubled sales in Japan and I bet they dropped back to 10k or less: we'll see tomorrow.

They were confirmed to be weaker than the PS4. Ages ago, in that Digital Foundry article with references from the X1 dev team themselves.

Jeeze, people are puffing on that fanboy flame, eh?

This article isn't even an article btw. Didn't know FB links were allowed.

It really is a great game. Played it on both iOS and Google Play; never finished it on either platform on account of the controls. A traditional console RPG needs console controls, period. Will be picking this up again for Vita. Hopefully, SE bring more of the Droid/ iOS catalog over.

I'm part of the Nvidia "fanbase". I'd recommend them over Radeon in a heartbeat based on driver support alone. The price differential is negligible compared to the headaches ATI cards can have. I consistently purchase Nvidia over ATI, just grabbed a souped-up Sager with 780m SLI in it in fact, and I have no interest in this product whatsoever.

The game is like 5-10% done. No way its hitting in 2014 or it will be a mess. Late 2015 for Japan, early 2016 for EU/ NA.

And the world shared a collective yawn. No idea why NVida even bothered with this, the market is crowded enough as is and this product appeals to no one.

What will come of what, exactly? Its entirely speculation without any basis in reality. I've seen two articles that are filled with nothing but fanboy dreams. You could replace Nintendo with Sony or MS and you'd have exactly the same sort of article. Equally as vapid and baseless.

Silent Hill is a Japanese franchise and there's a SH Vita game already.

.S. I love all the quirky Eastern games and JRPGs on the system. Combined with the Indie support it gives the Vita a unique appeal.

One of the hamsters running in the wheel died and the string broke between the two tin cans. Iwata is rushing to a Pet Value and Rona: servers should be back up in a few hours.

Please understand.

Oh Pop, still carrying the torch I see. Can't wait for your spin next week when the Wii U is back at 10K or less and Pikimin sits at #20 or lower. By my logic, the Vita is coming off a three week high from Touikiden and is still maintaining decent sales. Let's see where the Wii U is in two weeks, post Pikimin 3, and make "logical" comparisons then, shall we?

The Wii U is and will continue to be a dismal failure. I'd stake money on that. I take no pleasur...

22K? That's it? Vita has gone up to 70K with major releases and people consider that on life-support (I'm not one of them I think its found a nice niche).

Those numbers are terrible, as is the spin contesting their awfulness.

I have a Vita and 30 some odd games. Less than 5 are indie and I think that I got those for free from Plus. Please explain.

Wrong. Netbooks are far cheaper. Hell, you can use a cell phone. this is not a viable or economical solution. Again, Microsoft is proposing a product for an inconvenience that no one has.

Faker than fake. Silicon can't be respun in 4 months, not without inviting disaster. And upclocks for manufacturing on this scale NEVER happen. Downclocks do. And before anyone accuses me of being a Sony fanboy, keep in mind that the RSX was DOWNCLOCKED a YEAR or so (note the time needed) before launch.

But yeah, this article is powered by pure fanboy dreams (and TEH CLOUDZ).

I dunno. Insomniac's quality has really taken a dive lately, and I'm a BIG PS/ Ratchet fan. Since Crack in Time nearly everything they produced was mediocre. I'd rather have a new Jax than Ratchet at this point. Or I'd like to see the IP given to a different set of devs.

Edit" BigC, of course I mean after. "Since" meaning since that point. Crack in Time was awesome, the Ratchet spinoffs and Fuse certainly were NOT.

In case you haven't noticed, the turnaround for Vita titles from inception to release is about one year max; and that's for the AAA stuff. Middle tier games take about 6-8 months from announcement to localization and release. The smaller stuff gets released at times without warning. I wouldn't be worried about Vita software. I'm a JRPG nut, so the release slate looks excellent as far as I'm concerned.

What a ridiculous thing to say, and its obvious that you've never been a PC gamer to even say something like that. There is a quantifiable difference between a GTX 660 and a GTX 680. It is measurable and apparent in EVERY game, from FPS to how high you can crank up AA and post filtering. Just like there is a distinct difference between the 7790 and the 7850/90 (PS4 GPU is between those two base on ROP and cycle count).

Based on the GPUs used in each respectable APU, there...

Do keep in mind that we have hardly seen any of Sony's "20 exclusives within the first year." MS shouldn't be playing the exclusives game. Especially with their history of timed nonsense.

People care when one offers sub-par multiplat visuals compared to its direct - $100 cheaper - competitor. Draw-distance, amount of objects on screen, all these secondary elements that are render-intensive add a lot to the overall experience. Power matters. I played Skyrim on the PS3, then again on the PC when it was on sale and it was like playing a completely different game. The immersion is better with better tech, period.

This is just more bluster from MS before the Digita...

Translation: They didn't change their policy for consoles AT ALL. You still need a publisher to get on the X1 marketplace.

Oh, or if you sell your soul (and game) and grovel your indie way through the approval process, you can get Unity (dev tools) for free. Assuming MS "like" your game.

Edit: This link is either broken or missing, btw.
