Very much doubt they'll make an announcement on the OpRainfall games - this is an event in Japan, not America - and the games are already released in Japan.
So, basically, there's no point buying the Vita now, because the 3D Vita is around the corner.
Would love to see how well the 3D works after the touchscreen is covered in fingerprints...

I think people are confused about the "less emphasis on 3D" thing.
They clearly mean this from an advertising perspective. This makes sense, because lots of people still don't realise that the 3DS is a brand new console.
By showing people the other features, they'll realise there's more to the 3DS than just a DS in 3D. The UK is already doing this in their 3DS commercials.

Just realised that the same site also said that the PSVita would have its RAM cut in half to compete with the 3DS.
That turned out to be rubbish.

Oh, they're an iPhone developer, making forgettable, casual fare like "Toy Tanks 3D". That explains everything. Let me know when they make something even a quarter as good as Super Mario Galaxy, then I'll take their comments seriously.
Besides, if you're going to insult Nintendo, at least be original. Techworld.com called the Wii U a "Fisher Price iPad" back in June.

I think someone got confused with the Wii U controller.
Yes, they released loads of different DS models, but they all had the same control system.
If this is true, it would lead to a situation where early adopters couldn't play new 3DS games as intended.
They'd be insane to do this after their botched 3DS launch which is only just recovering.
I've got a 3DS, but I'm not sure if I can afford to buy another handheld at the moment.
Plus it appears to have only one speaker.
The people that will be buying the Wii Lite couldn't care less about playing Gamecube games. Nintendo is aiming the Wii Lite at the ultra-casual audience.
Hell, most people that bought the Wii are probably unaware that it can play GC games.

Yes. Streetpass is a 3DS feature. It obviously doesn't work during DS games. That feature wasn't invented then.
Similarly, the Wiimote doesn't work with my Gamecube games.
