Get used to it Sony fans.

Nintendo will constantly outsell the PS4gettable once it comes out.

Good. Now compare it to how slow the PS3 was when it first released.

Last gen: PS3, 360, Wii
Current gen: PS4, 720, Wii U
Next gen: PS5, 1440, Wii 3

At first, I was annoyed by the title, but it's actually a good article, really.

It's not hard to work out. The 3DS was being sold at a profit. The Wii U is being sold at a loss.

Also, the UK Wii U price was set by retailers and was way inflated over what the US paid for it anyway.

Yet it sold more than PS3 and 360 did in the first three months. This is a fact.

Timing really odd for this article, considering 5 new Wii U games are out this week.

Selling 80,000 consoles in a month despite no new games and no advertising is somehow bad now?

By the end of this month, the drought will be over.
Lego City, Mon Hun 3 Ultimate, Need For Speed U - all coming out.

The Wii U is not doing as well as the original Wii, but it's not doing "needs a price drop" bad.

The Wii U has sold 3.06 million so far - that's at least 1 million more than the PS3 and 360 sold at this point in time.

But the 3DS still sold 15,000 more.
(And the 3DS sold 196,000 the week after its price cut.)

TL:DR - Vita still a massive failure. Nintendo continues to do what Sony don't - make handhelds that people actually want to buy in Japan.

3DS still sold 15,000 more though. :P

Nope. They're making completely different ones.
No backwards compatibility.

Well, every console so far this gen has failed to sell well at first. There's a definite pattern.

3DS, Vita, Wii U....

Nope. Not worried at all.

4812d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Of course, that's still 20,000 more than what the Vita sold in the same period......

3DS conference in focuses on 3DS shocker.

Nope.
Authors don't get any money from used books.
Movie makers don't get any money from used DVD.
TV manufacturers don't get any money from second hand TV sales.
Every industry has managed to cope with second hand sales, why should games be any different?

It's not that I buy many games second-hand, it's just I like having the option of selling them if I buy a bad game. If I couldn't do that, I'd end up buying far fe...

You're confusing us with Vita fans. If anyone's in denial, it's them.

"The Vita's only doing bad because it was designed for Western gamers! Wait until the USA release!"
"What? It sold badly there too? Wait till E3!"
"Wait till COD Black Ops Declassified!"
"What? COD had a 32% Metacritic? Well, You can't judge the Vita until the first holiday!"
"It's selling within expectation...

But there's a reason for the Vita doom - it's been out on the market over a year, and it's still a complete flop. CoD Vita turned out to be a stinker of a game with a MetaCritic of 31. Sony are too embarrassed to reveal sales numbers for the console.

If the Wii U was doing as badly as the Vita is in a year's time, I'd call it a flop too.
