I do like how you go from overwhelming upvotes when saying something that can be taken as blatantly negative about the game, to getting more downvotes for just saying “I dont hate the combat”. Do you see what we are dealing with here? If you aren’t ripping the game to shreds, you get downvoted. Tunnel vision audience we tot here.
People see the game as an objective abomination, so they are reasoning with themselves that the reviews were paid for. I have a friend who I was certain was bot going to like it, to my surprise say he is digging it. He is the type to only play certain games like BG3 or Elden ring, real “high standards” kind of player. Yet he likes the game so far. Perspective is a heck of a thing.

It depends on the fee you are talking about. What I like in dragon age games are the lore and mystery. So veilguard feels very dragon age to me, and I am a hardcore fan that has played them all.

Well, Im sure there are other games that are the way you want them. I like Veilguard, and I am a hardcore fan of dragon age. Origins is still the game I have replayed the most. They just are moving things in a different direction.
Lets try to show a little mercy. BioWare have been having a difficult time for the past decade. Even earlier than that according to reports.
Skillup doesnt like any game I like. No surprise there.
It is fun, for some people. I like it, and its not my first game, not even my first combat based game. I just find it strange how people like souls game combat…but dont like this.

Elden ring? Souls games have the most basic, cut my arms off and blind fold me, dumb combat in a combat based game. Yet people love it. God of war reboot to some extent fits this bill as well.People are championing certain games for specific traits, and crucifying other games for doing the same stuff. Favoritism maybe?
