Bethesda did not develop Elder Scrolls online.
Why shouldnt they be proud of there exclusives? It shows that consoles have worth. Even if there were no exclusives, some people just prefer the simplicity of consoles over pc. Pc requires s quite a bit of maintenance, and I know because I have one. For those who dont mind the comstant upkeep and updating, then by all means play on pc.
When pc gains console exclusives, then it will be master race. Until then, it isnt.
I wouldnt call Witcher 3 a waste of time, just severely overrated. If played without the sense of overhyped prestige it has garnered, its actualy a really good game.
People seem to like their games to have a grand presentation, with somewhat shallow gameplay. Look at some of the most decorated games of all time: Uncharted, The Last of Us, and The Witcher 3. Gameplaywise, none of those games hold a candle to the Bethesdas games. And on the otherhand, Bethesdas games dont hold a candle in story and presentation. Its just different focus.
I think thats the problem with why people worship games like Uncharted and and Witcher.. Story. People seem to enjoy their games to play like movies for some reason. For all of the different things Fallout has going on, its visuals are pretty good. I guess people dont realize just how much you have to sacrifice to make these games either deep in gamplay, or deep in presentation.
The Elder Scrolls rpg elements are virtually timeless. That is why people still enjoy Morrowind. Its the sense of creation that keeps the flame burning.
The Witcher would be a titan tier game if it had proper RPG aspects besides just the whole choice consequence thing through the story. in order to make the game more cinematic, they had to sacrifice a great deal of rpg gameplay depth.
I think the Witcher is just a tad bit overrated. I think its an excellent game, but it seems to have been placed on too high of a pedestal, along with naughty dog games. Dont get me wrong, I love uncharted and The Last of Us, but they are vastly overestimated.
Sony. Microsoft did well, but Sony took it to the finish line yet again. Microsoft just cant keep up with the vast variety of IPs that Sony has, and that is the one thing holding them back. Sony is not in the best overall position business wise, and unless this Sony can find overall relevancy again, its only a matter of time before Microsoft overtakes them(If they get more IPs out). But as for now, Sony takes the prize.
It had the strongest rpg elements, and the since of discovery was far better in Morrowind as wel.
SMy first and favorite Elder Scrolls game
Mass Effect 2s atmosphere I found was spectacular. If they could somehow find the midway between Mass Effect 1 and 2, that would be great.
Yeah. The onlybioware level charaters in inquisition were Solas, and Leliana(If she even counts).
Still liked the characters overall though.
Try gettin into the lore, its more enjoyable if you delve into it. The game does have fetch quests, virtually every rpg does, but alot of the quests that dont seem like much tease lore. That is what bioware does with every dragon age.
I guess it depends on the individual to enjoy a game. I have two friends, one who gets bored easily, who actually made it further into Dragon Age Inquisition than the Witcher. They both found the Witcher 3 to be very boring in comparison, and...
It felt empty because it was a game about discovering long lost truths.
Truth that souls should be on the list. Dragon age sidequests seem like fetch(some are), but try looking at others with a more inquisitive aproach. ;)
It is. Many people dont realize the allure of dragon age games. They are looking for up front mental stimulation through graphics, characters, entertainment, etc. One of the main allures of Dragon Age games are that the player is rewarded with secrets or tidbits of information. That is why Dragon Age is more for people who are into the lore. A petty fetch quest for one person is a goldmine for another. What happened to the elves?what is Flemeth? what is the fade? If one is not interested in t...
Each person has a hook that draws them in to a game. If their is no personal hook, they wont be as in to the game. An opinion can change, if you discover what draws someone else in
Not everyone likes to play on pc though. It is filler, and almost every developer and publisher does it while waiting for the next big game. TES online was filler for Fallout 4
