Its always refreshing to find someone that has played origins, yet still sees value in veilguard.

Gotta love being downvoted for calling people out on willful ignorance. No nuance. Lol Cookie cutter characters that are easy to root for: Alistair, Leliana, Aveline, Bethany, cassandra, Carver, Tali, Liara, Ashley, Kaiden, samara, and probably a few others I am missing. These types of characters have always existed in their games, and they will remain because it’s realistic. Some people are more pure or corrupt than others.
You should be terrified that you still haven’t found the source of the worries and problems.

Not true. There are characters who are questionable in their motives and actions. Alistair, aveline, cassandra? Plenty of characters that dont have tinge of darkness to them in the series.

People are just dont know that perception manipulation exists, and so they take what they hear without question and run with it. Glad you are enjoying it.

This trend stopped at origins. None of their following games allowed for this stop and swap conversation unfortunately.

Depends on what you liked about origins. If it was the story and lore buildup, then you will probably be fine. If its the roleplaying aspects, veilguard is probably a hard pass because the rpg aspects seem extremely light, especially compared to dragon age origins. Choices and consequences do exist, but they seem to be small scale so far.
