Tell that to metaphor refantazio
There seems to be a bit of a campaign to put this game and bioware in the ground, and Im not sure why. People are even lying about the game. This isnt as bad as the starfield hate, but its still pretty grizzly.
“No day a positive article” truly fixed
It is getting hilarious seeing that face on every negative article or video thumbnail. 🤣
And I get it, its apparently an indication that the game isn’t performing well sales wise. Guess what? It’s actually getting rare for big publishers to drop a single player game and meet expectations. Thats why they want live service and mobile in the first place. Ff7 rebirth says hello.
People are disingenuous in regards to dragon age the ceilguard. I have heard people say there is no blood in this game…I have screen shots.lol
I have heard people say its on rails…I have footage that says otherwise. The audience will collapse gaming, mark my words.
Lol. Its one of the only games that I have experienced buyers remorse with. The only one I can think of is riders Republic.
Presentation in general is really good, including animations and cutscenes. Dark souls has very simple and aggravating combat. People like it though.
Good point. I didn’t mind it that much because of personal bias, and the fact that alot of the “fetch” quests teased lore more often than not. Find a strange marking on the wall here, an anonymous codex there. So for a dragon age lore nerd like me, I gobbled up every bit of content I can get.
It didn’t feel like mass effect. That was the biggest sin for me. I would give it a 7.5
You might want to try playing a truly bad game. Go boot up two worlds or gollum to get the perspective you need
People are salty its not origins
True
It is an rpg, its just not traditional. This game is as much an rpg as mass effect 2, 3, dragon age 2, and inquisition. They have been following this template for a long time and only now people want to complain about it? Interesting.
Exactly. Writing is fine to me in veilguard, and my two favorite game series of all time are Mass Effect and dragon age, so I am familiar with narrative. One time I noticed cringe dry delivery so far in veilguard, but sometimes you get phone it in moments in these games.
Combat sure, but the writing and art are subjective. The game looks great to me. This is going to be a hot take but the visuals remind me slot of BG3. Some of the enemies look a bit strange, but thats what happens when you are used to a specific design. People are being overly negative with dragon age. “It has to do at least one thing well”. Presentation maybe? Best presentation bioware has ever presented in one of their games and people just ignore it because theyndo not want to give credit ...
I have seen someone comment the game is on rails. I looked at my tv screen, then looked back at the phone and just turned the phone off. Lmao
Lmao didnt play ff7 remake so cant say, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
I get what you mean but hand holding is something that AAA games do. With outlaws, I went into the options to turn off hints and help, and maybe veilguard has something like that. Im not saying I like the handholding, but the higher budget games almost all do it, with a few exceptions of course.
Stellar blade says sup.
Monster hunter is also a soul sucking, online hyper addicting grind fest. Numbers dont lie, but they dont tell the whole story. Without the right eye, numbers are good for little more than confirmation bias in the hands of the average consumer.
