This is true, the player count was low even at its peak. An unfortunate circumstance. But people don’t always see value in things, and strong dont always win.
You have to let that go, its not true. People legitimately like the game, because its a great game. Good scores are still dropping for it, as are mixed.
Drop the bar? that logic only makes sense if you look through a pair of bias binoculars. Veilguard is a different game that has areas that surpass BG3, and vice versa. Simply saying something is “better “ without context doesnt mean anything. I dont know why we are trying to use sales statistics, as anyone with sense knows there are too many variables to know exactly why the game didnt meet sale’s expectations. Does it though? Just because it has dragon age in the name. Its a game, one hat they approached differently. This game has more choices than alot of other “rpgs” that people praise. I think its a bit binding and shortsighted to look at this game and say “because it is not following the precedent of previous dragon age games, it should be criticized.”

Not shilling, I genuinely think its a great game. If you are referring to the creator of the review, they are most likely not shilling. DA veilguard is a genuinely solid game. Not legendary, but solid.
From my understanding, it was Bethesda Games studios idea, and they partnered with machine games for the necessary tech to make it.
