@Profchaos
Their “competition “ isnt doing what they do, and thats the thing people miss. There is a reason developers dont make games like Bethesda, because it is very risky. Cyberpunk came out a buggy mess and it want even close to the number of permutations a gsme like starfield handles.
He left the cycle before the later stages. They made changes, changes that likely require loading screens for stability
@Inyourfoxhole
Taking my place as the most downvoted user I see.lol
Nope. I have friends on psn that are annoyed that astrobot won. Better than sleep myth wukong winning. I was for sure final fantasy would win though.
What hes saying is true. Too many “games” are money making schemes disguised as video games. Bu this is the nature of how people are: They see success and then attempt to cop it, but without the soul and passion that led to the success.
There is kind of an element of luck. There have plenty of incredible gsmes that dont get there due.
Be wary of these “standards” expectations . Set them to high and no one will reach the bar
Flame war alert: Nice. For me, its between veilguard and dragons dogma 2.
Truth is, there is no objectively good game. Its what game hooks you in and why. I brought persona 5 and stopped two hours in.
@Dododojo
Lol. Im probably the biggest dragon age fan/nerd in these comments, and I dont think its a 10. I think its solid, easy 7-9. I havent finished the game, but so far its an 8.5 for me.
@theeroica
Im talking about something that if mastered it will make your life experience better and more fulfilling. A hook is something that draws our initial attention to draw us into the rest of the work. For some its the visuals, for others the gameplay...
@chiefoflolipolice
Lol . I used to think that at some point honestly , but people have unwittingly helped me to not doubt. 9/10 times I go through this cycle of discussion with people, I end up right in the end. And thats because its the truth. The truth will manifest itself regardless.
@chieflolipolice
I am the true dragon age fan. Lol
Dragon age after origins is about the lore and mysteries. If you dont know that then you arent really that big of a fan. Jackdaw, Darth sahdie lavellan, saria, The kingdom, these are some of the biggest dragon age nerds of all time, and they are all about the story lore and mystery. Somebody that wants to be stimulated by a pretty cutscene when they pick option A over b is not a dragon age fan, they are a tradition...
Because product A in another series was successful. Publishers think in terms of numbers. They typically aren’t actually in the trenches playing the games themselves. Also, truth is that the gaming audience is becoming increasingly hard to read. I notice this from countless discussions and general observation.
Other than the community making the game themselves, yeah.
Maybe not. It could be a message.
@Goken
I would give stellar blade an 8-9. Sleep myth wukong I would drop to a 6, and veilguard is right around that range. Keep in mind these scores are based on my preferences, and are not undermining the developers accomplishments.
@Alos88
See, I have been gathering intel on gaming audiences for a good long time now. I have observed so many 180s that it has turned me into an owl. Gamers want something specific that is in their head, and if that expectation is not met, then curtains. Peoples tastes are certainly changing, as I am watching technology adapt itself to keep the attention of people who are honestly overstimulated. My friend just a few days ago said, "why am I getting a spiderman 2 tuto...
@solozelaot
Thats the thing about it. A person wont be able to see the truth until they learn the true nature of things. The game is s***y because of your own preferences as a person. And this is not meant to be an insult, so please dont take it that way. A person that thinks a game is trash thinks that because of something within themselves, not the actual game. I have friends that think the witcher 3 is trash. I have seen people say BG3 is trash. I uninstalled black myth wukong fo...
@staticall
Your missing the point. Alot of these people that talk trash about veilguard, champion other games that they like because it gets their dopamine's firing( I know, as I have been collecting data on all of you for a very long time now). The provocation is a way to get people to think, to be a bit more self-reflective. People keep complaining and placing blame when something isnt the way they want it to be, instead of examining themselves and saying”Gee, maybe i...
Tour not a fan of dragon age then. Your a fan of stimulation.
